Twelve and Thirteen Month Years
The Creator’s Synchronizing Gears of Time

Discover in this article, the perpetual phenomena of “Twelve and Thirteen Month Years. The question on everyone’s mind as we near springtime and the start of the New Year is, “How can we know for sure when it begins and which years have 12 or 13 lunar months?”

Our Creator has allowed us to know this by utilizing the preordained gear mechanism of His trinity of LIGHTS as markers. For Yahuah Alahim and Yahusha haMashiach are waking their sleeping followers to arise.  They are restoring the full light of truth to prepare their humble seekers for the Second Coming of our Messiah and an eternal home in His Kingdom, prepared for them from the foundation of the world.  All are perfectly sustainable and synchronized to each other’s attributes.

When I discovered through prayer and revelation in 2012 that the full moon was the true and original (H#2320—Chodesh—New Moon Day, renewed, restored moon, the first day of the lunar month) of our Creator, as recorded in Scripture, I knew that simply knowing this was not the final piece of the puzzle. This has been confirmed many times over as new and exciting discoveries have been made. 

Anyone reading this has undoubtedly had a similar experience because, hopefully, we are led by the same master designer of the shamayim (heavens), as we have been called out of darkness by His Ruach (power, presence, and provision) into His marvelous LIGHT. I have found that in His compassion, He does not give us all His truths in one fell swoop but gradually and in waves as we diligently seek them to comprehend and utilize them. 

Twelve and Thirteen Month Years?

I recognize there are other good full New Moon enthusiasts declaring various views on the rhythm of the Metonic 19-year cycle and the order and placement of the 12 and 13-lunar month yearly cycles.  I pray that we can “come and reason together” with our findings for the greater good and develop a more perfect paradigm. Then, as these restructured models prove out, we can implement them, but only as they stand worthy of the fiery test of time and natural self-evident function.  None of us are prophets but honest seekers of long-hidden truths as we await the promised return of our Redeemer, Yahusha haMashiach (the Messiah). 

When new light comes to any paradigm, it must first be considered whether it meets the required standard. Then, if it proves out, make the necessary adjustments that naturally enhance a far grander version of its former self, as long as it proves out over time with a consistent and steadfast purpose.  

Our Father continues to lead His trusting seekers of truth ever upward, one step at a time, and on occasion in great leaps as a process of fine-tuning our understanding. All for the purpose of leaving the false teachings of Rome, Egypt, and Babylon behind.  Truth is progressive, and we can only accept new light as we are willing to release our grip on long-held and beloved theories and views that cannot be supported or realized in Scripture.

The intention of this article is to focus on an enhanced view of our Creator’s Synchronizing Gears of TIME and attempt to answer the imposing questions of WHEN?, WHAT?, WHERE?, WHY?, and HOW?:

1. The SUN’s annual Vernal Equinox gear in spring has proven to have no application in establishing Rosh Hashanah for the start of the New Year in spring.
2. The first FULL MOON after the Vernal Equinox (spring) has now been proven that it cannot announce Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day).
3. While the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) gear remains strategic to locating the beginning (Rosh) of the year, the full New Moon cannot start the year when at her head.
4. The 19-year Metonic cycle gear is a natural phenomenon that perfectly synchronizes the trinity of the sun, full moon, and stars for ascertaining Rosh Hashanah, New Year’s Day. This 19-year Metonic cycle that automatically occurs from year to year tells us which years will be twelve months long and which ones will contain thirteen months.  As long as consistent parameters are utilized for the first three gears, the Metonic cycle will continue unbroken and remain accurate perpetually.  

 

The reason none of these four theories work is that they cause the year to start too early and are not able to place the dark conjunction lunar phase with the sun in the constellation Aries in the middle of the first month of Abib by daylight several times during the nineteen-year cycle.  We know this to be a criterion as our Messiah laid down His life for us on the 14th of the first month at noon when the dark conjunction lunar phase covered the sun for the greatest solar eclipse in recorded history. Josephus also noted this with respect to the sun in Aries at the time of Moses and the Passover in Egypt.

  

The Natural Synchronizing Phenomena 

Below, you will find the Creator’s Astro-Lunar-Solar Cycle (C.A.L.S. Cycle) chart to assist you with the first step of an explanation. (Click on the image to expand it.)

          

The number 13 correlates with its red lines illustrating the 13-month years.  The three nearly complete sequences of 1-19, when compared to the full moons with red and blue lines, illustrate the perfection with which the gears of the sun, moon, and stars work together.  The little white dots represent the location of the second full moon after the VE.  Lastly, the column on the right illustrates the location (placement) of the full moon within the constellation of Bethulah during each of the 19-year cycles.   Notice, too, that there are no perfect sequences but a little zig-zagging as the full moon makes its way through each 19-year cycle.  

When factored together, it is the innate attributes of the Sun, Full Moon, and Stars that portray YAHUAH’s time-measuring principles shining forth from the LIGHTS that locate Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) in spring. For no doubt, Yahuah Alahim and His Son Yahusha haMashiach are leading their followers ever upward, from a lesser understanding to a greater view of the full moon’s strategic placement. Only then can His explicit “GREAT SIGN” (Revelation 12:1) be recognized for what it was intended to symbolize… Rosh Hashanah is the start of the New Year in spring.  This great sign was never intended to be announced by a Barley harvest.  All crops and harvests in all ages passed are entirely dependent upon the yearly course of the sun, moon, and stars. 

“There appeared an exceedingly GREAT SIGN in the shamayim (heavens); a woman [arose in the east] clothed with the sun and the (G#  – selene – brilliant moon) brilliant full moon at her feet, and upon her head was a crown of twelve stars [or starry constellations].  And being with child, she cried out travailing in birth and pain to deliver.”  Hazon (Revelation) 12:1-2

The Vernal Equinox Solar Gear

Here is a short review of the Vernal Equinox. Solar equinoxes are the two points each year at which days and nights are nearest to equal length everywhere on Earth. See the example above. While solstices are the two points each year when the day ratio to the night is the most unbalanced, as shown below.  In the Summer Solstice, the days are the longest, and in winter, the days are the shortest.  But together, the two equinoxes and the two solstices mark the basic solar divisions of the year. 

At the time of the spring and fall solar equinox, the sun shines on the face of the earth evenly from pole to pole. This causes the days and nights to be equal in both the northern and southern hemispheres. 

According to astronomical standards, the Vernal Equinox (V.E.), otherwise known as the first day of spring among many, officially falls between the Roman Gregorian solar calendar dates of 03-19 and 03-21 on any given year.

In addition to the sun measuring time from sunrise to sunset, the V.E. is the SUN’S SOLAR TIME MARKER of the earth’s rotation around the sun from spring to spring each year. It identifies the moment when the sun crosses the equator, causing the days and nights to be at their “nearest” point to an equal length everywhere on Earth. 

B’resheet (Genesis) 1:16 declares, “the greater light to rule by/the day. . .” This means the sun alone was ordained to rule and measure the length of daylights, but it also measures the full circle of 365.25 daylights each solar year. 

From ancient times, the V.E. was first utilized along with the moon and constellations by those who loyally adhered to the Creator’s true and original astro-luni-solar time-measuring gear model. But when Julius Caesar removed the moon from time-measuring in 46 B.C., only the V.E. was used together with the constellations. 

The Vatican Solar Wheel

Here is an example of the Vatican solar wheel and Asherah pole. The Romans utilized them to measure only the sun’s movements upon a zodiac wheel of stars by daylight. This was in stark opposition to our Creator’s express instructions that time would be measured by the full moon and the stars by night upon the east-west time continuum when the sun is not present. His unique method alone was to bring the lunar months into harmony with the sun’s vernal equinox once every 19 years.

One thing the SUN was never ordained to do was to measure the ruling stars in the Mazzaroth, wheel of stars, by daylight, either alone or with the aid of the dark conjunction lunar phase.  Yet, this is precisely what the pagans and heathen have persistently done throughout history, as seen with the solar wheels (solar zodiac constellation maps) and Asherah poles used as gnomon markers. While the constellation maps are not evil in and of themselves, it is when using the sun alone or the dark conjunction lunar phase with the sun by daylight to measure and mark them. This, together with appointing their astrological SIGNS, exhibits rebellion against our Creator and His preordained time-measuring model, creating a two-point system of rebellion. 

Throughout the year, the only imperceptible changes in the sun from day to day is its cycling position from north to south in the sky.  This is why four basic positions (Vernal and Autumn Equinoxes, together with the winter and summer Solstice) have been utilized by all nations of the earth, no matter whether they keep solar time alone or utilize the moon correctly or incorrectly.  Therefore, the V.E. is a naturally occurring solar phenomenon designed by our Creator as a line of demarcation for the express purpose of measuring the full moon and its lunar years as they depart and return back into alignment with the solar year. If the V.E. did not exist, it would be difficult to know how to measure the lunar deficit in the twelve-month years and the gain of each thirteen-month year.   

In this way, Yahuah Alahim synchronized the lunar months with the solar years every 19 years to perfectly mark His Rosh Hashanah, the start of the year in spring.  This was necessary as the full New Moon (renewed/restored moon) was pre-determined to be the only marker to count off the starry constellations in their order by NIGHT during their east-to-west flow. Only the full New Moon would provide the correct count of 29-30 day months, the count of lunar weeks, Sabbaths, and each of the annual Kadosh worship assemblies in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.  Only the full New Moon can accurately demarcate each day of the month with its own unique lunar phase that is simultaneously both phase and position-related so that Yahuah Alahim’s people may be in one accord with Him.

The Turn of the Year is Recorded in Scripture

When discussing Rosh Hashanah in 2015 with Sarah DeVolt, Professor of Hebrew at the University of Jerusalem, she said, “It is clear that the Yahudim (Jews) changed the day of the Feast of Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) from spring to the autumn “turn of the year” (tekufah H#8622). A fact revealed by Shemot (Exodus) 12:1-7, which identifies that Rosh Hashanah was originally ordained by Yahuah Alahim (“Adoni” in her words) to be celebrated in spring, 14 days before Pasch (Passover), as the first of the two “turn of the year” (tekufah H#8622) annual events.”

Even as a Yahudah (Jew) herself, she could recognize the discrepancy and define it as such.  Yet, the Yahudim (Jews) as a nation continue in their fictitious traditions, following the proactive calendar and Feast Day changes made long ago by their corrupt ancestors.

The following short Hebrew word study on Shemot (Exodus) 12:1-3 illustrates that Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) was designated to commence the YEAR and twelve or thirteen lunar MONTHS in the SPRING, not the FALL. 

Scripture supports the existence of the end of the Year and the return of the Year.  The (tekufah H#8622 – turn of the year) is used in 2 Chronicles 24:23 to highlight “spring” when the kings went to war.  But Shemot (Exodus) 34:22 also identifies “the turn of the year” in the autumn when the fall harvest festivals took place. Some might say this identifies the solar equinox phenomena that occur twice yearly. Yet, it is this very verse in Shemot (Exodus) 12:1-2 that identifies spring as the true and original ordained Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day), which we have learned that according to Scripture, the New Year is marked by the full moon nearest the feet of the constellation Bethulah in spring. 

The 6,000 Years or 120 Jubilee Revolutions

On 03-28-2021, the Roman solar calendar year appears to have been synchronized to the Creator’s Calendar year 5,990, numbered from the first day of creation.  This day marks the spring’s first day of the New Year, called Rosh Hashanah. This appointed Feast Day of Rosh Hashanah was instituted by Yahuah Alahim to commence in SPRING, as defined in Shemot (Exodus) 12:1-7. It was to be the first annual festival of the year, the signal from which to count 14 days to Pasch (PASSOVER), and the starting point for which to place all the other Kadosh FEAST DAYS in their correct order and location.

A remarkable point is that the 6,000 years, 120 revolutions of time, or Jubilees, allotted for mankind upon the earth appear to terminate in 2031.  The years as counted from creation are located on the far left of the large chart at the top of the article.  

I believe the crucifixion of our Messiah occurred upon a Jubilee (50th year) year in A.D. 31, marking the greatest fulfillment of setting captives free until His second coming.  Then, 2,000 years after His first coming, the last Jubilee will terminate in the year 2031.  Add 2,000 to the 4,000 B.C. previous years to get 6,000 total years.  Subtract the current year (2024) from 2031, and we are (7) years from the full 6,000-year completion. But even then, we are told that “this will be cut short, or no man would survive.” (Matthew 24:22; Romans 9:28). There is more support for this, which I will add later.  I could be wrong, but it is what I currently believe. 

Metonic Cycle Gear

The Metonic 19-year cycle derives its name from the Greek astronomer and mathematician “Meton,” who was acclaimed in Greece for its discovery. Yet, I believe he simply made a known fact available to the common folk. Either way, all the nations of the ancient world utilized this 19-year cycle before Meton, but under other names. 

The keyboard below makes for a perfect example of how the Metonic 19-year cycle yields in their order, the placement of the 12-month lunar years, and the 13-month lunar years.  The thirteenth month will occur in the ending year of each number shown in this rhythm:  (3, 3, 2, 3, 3, 3, 2) for a total of seven times within the total number of 19 years.

It is a fact that the annual lunar cycles fall short of the solar year by 10-11 days during the twelve “regular” years of the 19-year cycle. Amazingly, the only way to measure this is by utilizing the spring VE date as the year’s beginning and ending standard marker of each solar year and then comparing the lunar month cycles to this standard.  

During seven of the 19 years, the lunar month cycles were designed by our Creator to proactively take back the lost time throughout each embolismic 13-month year.  It is this built-in lunar dynamic that ultimately restores the lunar cycles back into nearly perfect harmony with the Vernal Equinox by the end of the 19th-year cycle, with a disparity of only minutes to two hours.  This ensures that the lunar months will never wander through the four seasons as occurs with Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. This is a sign that their lunar calendar is flawed. Still greater is the fact that over a 236-year period equaling twelve 19-year cycles, far greater precision can be achieved.  And since this happens with or without our presence, it occurs naturally by divine design.

The point here is that by retaining a consistent and accurate set of solar, lunar, and constellation attributes, time will never get out of sync over hundreds of years, as do strictly lunar or strictly solar time-measuring models.  Strikingly, it is the moon that has the automatic built-in ability to restore and synchronize itself back to the VE of the SUN and the wheel of the stars.

Extraordinarily as it may seem, the same principles of the 19-year Metonic cycle will equally apply to any consistent set of criteria for aligning lunar months with the solar year and the constellations. But none of these varied choices of lunar phases will produce the same order of 13-month years over the 19-year Metonic cycle. So, one organization may be on one cycle and another on a different cycle.  No matter what consistent lunar phase method is utilized, each will end up with a perfect Metonic cycle. But conversely, the 19-year cycle of (3, 3, 2, 3, 3, 3, 2) will not occur when utilizing an inconsistent set of criteria, producing only a helter-skelter pattern. So, with the keyboard illustration, an inconsistent set of criteria would cause a keyboard to have sets of white and black keys in an altogether different configuration.  So it is simply achieving a consistent cycle on one level in no way guarantees all the criteria are met or on the correct 19-year cycle. 

Therefore, if variables are added to this mix, such as sometimes utilizing the first full moon after the VE and other times the second full moon after the VE with the objective of locating the full moon at the feet of Bethulah, it will produce a cycle, but only a contrived one. It will never be anything more than a rubber ruler, unable to yield the necessary and consistent objective.  This was where we were for six years.  Yet, we accept a far more accurate and new understanding, which will be more fully explained below.

The Full Moon of Rosh Hashanah

Nearly 6,000 years ago, our Creator appointed His time-measuring method to be marked by His most marvelous and unique three-part Syzygy, identifying the full moon in opposition to the sun and pointing to the constellation Bethulah as the original and authentic start of Years and Months. This Syzygy and three-part pointer highlights in its marvelous and visual display each Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day), commencing with the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) in the spring.  By this same method, the Syzygy of the sun, moon, and earth point to each of the other 12 or 13 constellations to commence each new lunar month. 

Because Hazon (Revelation) 12:1 is provided for us only in the Greek translation, to get more specific about the brilliant Selene moon (G#4582) occurring under/at the feet of the woman, Bethulah (Virgo), we need to look at two words. The word for “under” in this passage is translated from Greek back to Hebrew, and the word for “feet.”  Since Greek is an imperfect translation of the original Hebrew, we must get the original meaning of “feet” from the Hebrew in which John wrote it.  The word in Hebrew for the Greek word “under” is (al H#5921 – על – meaning- on, at, onto, upon, about, above), while “foot or feet” is (regel #7272 – רגליה – her feet/legs), it means foot or legs with no differentiation).  In fact, because I cannot find a separate Hebrew word for legs, it seems to indicate that both feet and legs are recognized by the term “regel.”  So it would read as – “at her feet or legs” and not specifically “under her feet.” Astonishingly, this is exactly what occurs naturally, as displayed on the graph at the top of the article and the lunar phases shown on the artwork of the woman of Revelation, who is in pain to be delivered on New Moon Day (renewed or restored moon day).

The Three Synchronizing Gear Attributes

1. SUN – The Sun by day only. It is always in opposition to the Full Moon to mark the start of each lunar month. Also, the sun identifies the day of the Vernal Equinox. 
2. FULL MOON – the true and original New Moon (restored and renewed moon) and the start of the lunar months in correspondence with the constellation Bethulah (Virgo). The Full Moon rules the night from east to west all night long without the presence of the sun. Yet, on the following morning, the New Moon Day, because the moon has crossed over the line of opposition, the sun and moon will greet each other for a few minutes before the moon sets in the west. 3. BETHULAH’S (Virgo) STARRY CONSTELLATION was ordained to mark the first day of the New Year when the Full Moon appears nearest her legs or feet. 
4. METONIC CYCLE – As stated previously, the Metonic Cycle is a natural phenomenon that perfectly synchronizes the trinity of the sun, full moon, and stars for ascertaining Rosh Hashanah, New Year’s Day. It is this 19-year Metonic cycle that automatically occurs from year to year that tells us which years will be 12 months in length and which ones will be 13.  For as long as consistent parameters are utilized for these three gears of time, the Metonic cycle will continue unbroken and accurate, perpetually.
   

 

Striving for the Correct Convergence of the Metonic Cycle

It is great to see others striving to make sense of all the new light coming to us.  But as this information has been proactively hidden under the rubble of nearly 2,000 years of a deceitful attack on the Creator’s original calendar by both the Romans and the Jews, we can’t be too hard on ourselves that we didn’t get all aspects correct with the first pieces of the puzzle that have been restored. But I would like to speak to four points recently and adamantly made by others:

1. The Solar Vernal Equinox in question. How the SUN measures daylights from sunrise to sunset is a foundational instruction of Yahuah Alahim.  B’resheet (Genesis) 1:16 declares, “the greater light to rule the day. . .” This means the sun alone was ordained to rule and measure the length of daylight from sunrise to sunset each and every day.  Yet, throughout the year, the only perceivable changes in the sun from day to day is its position from north to south in the sky.  This is why all nations of the earth have utilized four basic positions (Vernal and Autumn Equinoxes, together with the Winter and Summer Solstice) throughout history.  There would be no consistent combination of 12 or 13 lunar months unless this were absolutely necessary to bring the lunar months back into harmony with the Solar Vernal Equinox.  This necessitates a stable solar point of reference for measuring lunar month cycles.
2. The star Spica question.  I believe there may be more to learn about the star Spica, the most prominent star marking the midpoint in the constellation Bethulah (Virgo), the month called “Abib” in Scripture by the Most High Yahuah Alahim. Those who seek to accurately restore the Creator’s Kadosh calendar will naturally consider the role this star plays as it clearly represents the Barley harvest so essential in the First Fruits festival celebrated on the 16th day of each New Year.  I can say emphatically that it marks the constellation Virgo as being the first constellation in the Wheel of the Stars.  Yet, there is “no star” in any constellation that can replace the role of the sun’s essential gear system (i.e., the V.E.), necessary to the entire three-part harmony.

3. The Sundial question. Yahuah Alahim explicitly honored and even performed a miracle for King Hezekiah utilizing a SUNDIAL, causing its SHADOW to first move backward ten degrees, then return to its correct position, as recorded in 2 Malek (2 Kings). Refer to the word/study article, Ten Degrees To and Fro on the Sundial.  Do not be deceived by an attestation that Yahuah would never support using the shadow on the sundial to measure time during daylight.  Such a statement is emphatically false.
4. The Zodiac Solar Wheel Question. The problem with solar wheels from ancient times is that they utilized the SUN to mark the starry constellations by daylight on the solar Zodiac wheel, in contrast to the moon marking the constellations by night in the starry Mazzaroth, as set forth by our Creator. These are 180 degrees opposite of each other.  But this has no relation to the Scripture-supported SUNDIAL that measures the hours of the day. Scripture speaks of the Mazzaroth, wheel of the stars, with a positive and viable use permit for mankind, but only when the 12 and 13 months commence in the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) and is marked by the full moon, as the true New Moon by NIGHT on the east-west time continuum. B’resheet (Genesis) 1:16 declares, “lesser light to rule the NIGHT, with the stars.”  This is the differential, as the sun is to rule alone by day with no stars or moon.  Thus it is that the moon and stars rule the night when the sun is not present.

We continue to recognize that it is the full moon that is to be aligned at the feet/legs of the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) as the primary focus of the GREAT SIGN of Hazon (Revelation) 12:1-2. But the new light enhances our original paradigm as a more perfect and detailed marker than originally understood.  Rather than seeking to align each New Year (Rosh Hashanah) with every possible full moon at the feet of Bethulah, whether the first full moon or the second after the VE, it is now believed that this GREAT SIGN identifies this event as the mid-point area of the 19-year Metonic cycle.  Thus it is that a consistent first full moon after the VE must be utilized.   

Bethulah and the 19-Year Metonic Cycle

Here, the Constellation Bethulah (Virgo) is clothed with the sun, with the full (Selene G#4582 brilliant moon) at her legs and feet (Regel H#7272 – foot, leg) during the mid-portion of the 19-year Metonic cycle. She is with child and about to give birth.

This illustration depicts the constellation of Bethulah, which is radiant with the sun’s light. She has a crown of 12 stars above her head, and at her feet near the middle of the 19-year Metonic cycle, the full moon appears at her legs and feet.  She is with child and about to be delivered.  This sign announces Rosh Hashanah, which is delivered the next morning at sunrise.  This has nothing whatever to do with the veneration of Mary in Catholic theology but is symbolic of all of Yahuah’s obedient followers from the beginning to the end of time.

The First Constellation of Twelve in the Wheel of the Stars Gear

Bethulah, the queen of the constellations and first in order of each year, arises in the east on the night of the full moon in the spring. She is in labor and will deliver her charge the following sunrise before she sets in the west. But what is her charge?  The New Moon Day! This strategic visible exhibition is a profound Kadosh (sacred) symbol of our Messiah, who was begotten for mankind that we may be purified and made white and receive the promise of eternal life in full restoration to the Father of Lights.

This illustration of the Mazzaroth (considered to be the Zodiac by the solar-only proponents) actually depicts all three gears of LIGHTS with the VE gear. A perfect trinity orchestration of the astro, lunar, and solar attributes. Here, you see a full moon that follows the solar Vernal Equinox occurring at the feet/legs of the constellation Bethulah. This visible nighttime spectacle is the first of two that announce that Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) in spring will commence the next morning at sunrise. The second marker is the following morning when, from opposite horizons, the sun and moon greet each other just before the full moon setting in the west. 

This is the only time-measuring method supported in Scripture, as revealed by Genesis 1:16, Psalms 136:7-9, Jeremiah 31:35-36, and Revelation 12:1-2. It identifies the unique interplay of THE SUN RULING BY DAY and marking the V.E. and THE MOON RULING TOGETHER WITH THE STARS BY NIGHT.  Each of the Sun, Moon, and Stars rules within its boundary markers from the eastern horizon to the western horizon. Of utmost importance is the Scriptures reveal that when the SUN RULES, it rules alone by daylight and marks the Vernal Equinox, and WHEN THE MOON AND STARS RULE TOGETHER, THEY RULE IN OPPOSITION TO THE SUN, ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE EARTH FROM THE SUN, BY NIGHT.

Most folks have never previously recognized that the moon’s position in the night sky opposite the sun, as identified in Genesis 1:16, presents the ruling New Moon lunar phase as the full moon.

The Romans removed the moon from the GEARS OF OUR CREATORS TIME-MEASURING. In its place, they set up Solar-only time. This new alternate time-measuring system was proactively crafted to remove the Creator from time and man from the binding claims of His Torah law. The true Sabbath can only be found by using the Creator’s true calendar that synchronizes the sun, moon, and stars with each other’s beautiful and natural GEAR ATTRIBUTES.

“But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the LIGHT, for whatever makes manifest is LIGHT.” Ephesians 5:13

 

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the FATHER OF LIGHTS, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning [full sun, full stars, and full moon].” Yaakov (James) 1:17

Josephus and the Sun in Aries

Josephus, the Jewish historian of the first century A.D., comments on the first Passover in Egypt that in the middle of the first lunar month, the Sun was in Aries. We have it on good authority in Luke that this same phenomenon occurred on the 14^th day of Abib (Nisan) from the sixth to the ninth hour when our Messiah hung on the cross/stake for the great prophetic fulfillment of PASSOVER.

The significance of this visible sign in the heavens is that when the sun was eclipsed from noon to 3:00 p.m., the starry constellation of Aries became visible in the middle of that month. This silent yet lengthy announcement declared to all in the region, “Behold the LAMB of YAHUAH, who takes away the sins of the world.”  For more details on this subject, refer to the article, The Sun was Darkened from the Sixth to the Ninth Hour.

 

 

“In the month of Xanthicus, which is by us called Nissan [Aviv], and is the beginning of our year, on the fourteenth day of the lunar month, when the sun is in Aries.  For in this month it was that we were delivered from bondage under the Egyptians, the law ordained that we should every year slay that sacrifice, which I before told you we slew when we came out of Egypt, and which was called the Passover; and so we do celebrate this Passover in companies, leaving nothing of what we sacrifice till the day following. The Feast of Unleavened bread succeeds that of the Passover, and falls on the fifteenth day of the month, and continues seven days, wherein they feed on unleavened bread. . .”  Antiquity of the Jews, Flavius Josephus, Book 3, Chapter 10, No. 5.

Easter Sunday Pinned to the Lunar Calendar

As you may recall, the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar divorced the entire Roman calendar system from that of the Creator, entirely eliminating the use of His New Moons for Years, lunar months, lunar weeks, Sabbaths, annual Feast Days, and demarcation of days as early as 45 B.C. But shockingly, did you know ROME had to return to utilizing the full moons and the lunar cycles for one specific event every single year to this very day? This was accomplished to place their most sacred holiday in honor of “Jesus Christ’s” resurrection on the erroneous but widely proclaimed EASTER SUNDAY.

Because of their hatred for all things Jewish, they had adopted their own version of the salvation story, marking it with an alternate day. But of necessity, their newly inaugurated Easter Sunday must never fall on the same day as the Jewish Pasch (Passover). The only way to accomplish this consistently was to utilize the same original full moon lunar month cycles as the Jews once used when obeying the Torah Laws, with its 19-year Metonic cycles.  This required that the Romans must also follow the same 13-month years seven times within this same Metonic time frame.  But instead of counting from the full moon 14 days to Pasch (Passover) as Scripture requires, the Romans smugly deviated with two changes to meet their own criteria.

From the early fourth century A.D. until today, the Romans, who created and kept a SOLAR “ONLY” CALENDAR MODEL, have painstakingly determined Easter as the first SUNDAY after the FULL MOON, following the Vernal Equinox. Remarkably, this fact makes Easter a lunar Roman Holiday that was then nailed to a Sunday on the solar calendar.

“At the Council of Nice [Nicaea] the last thread was snapped which connected [Roman] Christianity to its parent stock.  The festival of Easter had up till now been celebrated for the most part at the same time as the Jewish Passover, and indeed upon the days calculated and fixed by the Synhedrion [Sanhedrin] in Judea for its celebration; but in future its observance was to be rendered altogether independent of the Jewish calendar, “For it is unbecoming beyond measure that on this holiest of festivals we should follow the customs of the Jews.  Henceforward, let us have nothing in common with this odious people; our Savior has shown us another path.  It would indeed be absurd if the Jews were able to boast that we are not in a position to celebrate the Passover without the aid of their rules.”  These remarks are attributed to the Emperor Constantine . . . [and became] the guiding principle of the [Christian] Church, which was now to decide the fate of the Jews [and their original time-measuring system].” Heinrich Graetz, History of the Jews, Vol. II, pp. 563-564.

Following the Council of Nicaea, the Yahudim (Jews), while still in captivity, were pressured to change their entire calendar structure. Yet, no doubt, as a reaction to Rome’s Easter time determination of the first Sunday after the full moon in spring, they changed their New Moon designation from the full moon to the dark conjunction approximately 30 years later. They may have seen this as their opportunity to remove themselves far from the true crucifixion memorial date and the full New Moon calendar, with its dark conjunction Passover. For it had been a yearly reminder of the reality of the crucifixion and resurrection of Yahusha haMashiach, events they longed to forget had indeed occurred, and the dreaded stigma and guilt of having participated in His death.

We have two witnesses who affirm that, indeed, a calendar swap did occur and endures to this day. First, as recorded in Scripture, we have the STANDARD of TIME that remains intact to testify of the Creator’s true and original full New Moon.

And secondly, the Romans would never have needed to step so far outside their own SOLAR comfort zone unless there was a very compelling reason. What could possibly persuade the Roman Emperor to utilize the lunar months and the 19-year Metonic cycle with occasional 13-month years, unless this was the original method utilized at the time of the Messiah’s resurrection, and 300 years later remained the rhythm still kept by the Jews of his day? But, even then, they fixed it to a Sunday rather than counting 14 days to Passover.

So today, both the Romans and all their daughter churches who celebrate Easter sunrise services on Sunday, or sing in an Easter Cantata on Saturday, or the Jews who continue to dismiss any discussion that the Messiah has ever existed, have falsely traditionalized themselves right out of any connection to the TRUTH. None of these traditionalized artificial views synchronize with the only PATHWAY of our MESSIAH that leads His followers back to the FATHER. 

Only by entering the correct door and following the Lamb whithersoever He goes will Yahusha HaMashiach’s (the Messiah’s) trusting followers find rest for their soul temples.
