The Handwriting Against Us
The Handwriting Against Us
The Prophetic Shadows of the Cross
Colossians 2
In shadows deep, the truth revealed,
The wages of sin and death unsealed,
Not Torah’s Law, nor stone commands,
But sin’s own wage from broken bands.
No given law was meant to harm,
But guide us safe, and not alarm,
The problem lay with Eden’s pair,
Their sin, death’s wage, a cruel snare.
The breach was made, the curse began,
A single law condemned each man,
Not by the scrolls, of holy writ,
But the wages of sin, two did commit.
The Ten Commandments hold their place,
In justice, love, and truth’s embrace,
Yet churches vouch, with errant claim,
That Torah’s Law is all to blame.
They claim:
Let no one judge the food you eat,
Or New Moon days, or Feasts complete,
For in the Messiah, we are free,
From every binding Law we flee.
But Truth Be Told
Don’t let the world deceive your mind,
With teachings that are cold and blind,
For in the Messiah’s wisdom bright,
Obey by faith, walk in His light.
The Torah Law and Testimony,
together are bound like matrimony.
Dividing His bride, who adore,
From all those smug, who will ignore.
The Law remains both firm and true,
Not swept away by what we do,
When broken, justice calls its due,
But paying debt won’t bid adieu.
Just like the fines for speeding fast,
The law itself is built to last,
Though debts are paid, it stands the same,
A guiding light, a holy flame.
For breaking rules, the cost is high,
Yet laws endure, they never die,
Restitution always brings us peace,
But the Law’s demands will never cease.
His Sabbaths, New Moons, Feast Days too,
Clean foods and drinks, for me and you,
These are Laws, signs of faith we wear,
In shadows of the cross we share.
So trust the Torah, sacred, pure,
In Messiah’s death, we are secure,
Obey His laws with hearts aligned,
For in His path, true life we find.
Let no one judge our holy days,
His TIMES we keep, by lunar phase.
For in these acts, we show our trust,
In YAHUAH’s plan, so wise, so just.
The shadow Feast Days once held dear,
Ordained to continue every year.
The substance is the Messiah’s love,
He’s our true guide from up above.
The shadows point to things ahead,
SIN’s REMEDY met when He bled.
The Plan of Salvation’s grand design,
In His FEAST Days we shall align.
His shadow FEASTS reveal as planned,
Never were Laws nor Torah banned.
The fullness of His life we share,
The Messiah’s love beyond compare.
But here the truth in wisdom lies,
The breach is where the death law dies,
And through the cross, the cure is shown,
To heal the breach, and sin atone.
The Messiah came to heal the breach,
His death the cure that He would preach,
Not casting off the sacred code,
But mending paths where sin abode.
Our hearts are joined in love’s embrace,
In the Messiah, we find grace,
No power can tear this bond apart,
He lives within each rescued heart.
The debt we owed, He took away,
Nailed it to the cross that day,
He triumphed over every foe,
In Him, the truth we now shall know.
No longer ruled by earthly kings,
We’re lifted high on angel’s wings,
The Messiah’s life within our soul,
Has covered us, has made us whole.
The churches preach a different tale,
Mislead the flock, and so they fail,
The truth remains, for all to see,
On Torah’s page, on bended knee.
Sin’s breach in law, and death decree,
Held back by Him, who sets us free,
The answer lies in sacred trust,
In Torah’s Law, so pure and just.
The cross has made the pathway clear,
To walk in love, and never fear,
To keep His laws with heart and mind,
For in His ways, true life we find.
The death law lifted, the breach restored,
Through Messiah’s blood, our hope is poured,
No longer bound by death’s dark chain,
In Torah’s light, we live again.
So heed the call of truth and grace,
In holy paths we shall embrace,
Through New Moons, Sabbaths, Feast Days too,
In Kosher foods, like ancient Hebrew.
These are the signs of faith we share,
The shadows of what’s yet to bear,
In every act, in every deed,
We show YAHUAH the path we heed.
Sins remedy ever shines so bright,
Through Torah’s Law, by sacred light,
For in the cross, the breach is healed,
The truth of YAH at last revealed.
So walk this path, with faith anew,
His holy ways that we pursue,
In trust, obedience, and in love,
We find our home in Him above.
The death law met, the breach appealed,
In Messiah’s blood, our fate is sealed,
No longer fear, no longer stray,
In Torah’s light, we find our way.
The death law snuffed, our choice restored,
The curse of death is now no more,
In trust, obedience, and in grace,
We find our peace, in YAH’s embrace.
Let no one cheat you of your prize,
With worldly thoughts that lead to lies,
For in the Messiah’s path we stay,
His Torah guides us every day.
Sin and death, are heavy chains,
But now our dear Messiah reigns,
He bore the weight of sin’s death curse,
His love for us, vast and diverse.
Darkness trembles at His name,
For on the cross, He bore our shame,
And through His blood, we’re justified,
In Him alone, we now abide.
Our sins He nailed upon the tree,
To set us free, to Him we flee,
In the Messiah’s love we stand,
Our lives secured by His own hand.
The written code of death so strong,
Its price was paid, its power gone,
The Messiah’s blood has made us new,
His resurrection made it true.
His body broke to make us one,
In Him, the victory is won,
No longer bound by second death,
We live within His sacred breath.
The world may offer hollow pride,
But in Messiah we abide,
His fullness fills our empty hearts,
From worldly ties, He sets apart.
The world may boast of empty gain,
But in Messiah, we sustain,
The riches of His mystery,
From the second death our souls are free.
No longer bound by human ways,
We walk with Him through all our days,
The shadows flee before His light,
Mankind awarded His own birthright.
The Torah Law remains the guide,
And with Yahusha we abide.
The fullness of His remedy,
Reveals each man’s destiny.
His Torah stands, unchanged, divine,
In His commandments, we align.
Yet, hope is found in Him alone,
The cornerstone, unto His throne.
The handwriting against us is,
The wages of sin is death, t’was His.
It n’er dissolved His Torah Law,
T’was remedied by the love of YAH!
The shadows of the cross reveal,
The truth that churches still conceal,
His Feast Days stand, a holy sign,
Those in Messiah’s love, align.
The world’s traditions, cold as ice,
Can never match the sacrifice,
The Messiah gave to make us whole,
His life the ransom for our soul.
