Testimony of Janine of Portland Oregon

It will be three years in January 2022 when we first started keeping the Lunar month calendar back in January 2019.  Wow…time is going by too fast!  But the good news, it means Yahshua’s kingdom is getting closer….all the time!!

Since then, we would look for the full moon to start a new month each time.  It is very exciting to be looking out for it!  Whenever I look at the full moon, I look at it differently than I did before.  We didn’t always observe the new moon (crescent, dark, and now full moon).

When we first came into the WCG in 1987 they didn’t observe the new moon at the time. (They did before but stopped observing it much later). When we became independent in 2002, we started doing a lot more Bible study than we did while in the organized churches from which we learned the beautiful truth about the new moon.  So later in time, we started following the calendar in three different phases of the moon until the year 2019 we started to observe the full moon.  It makes total sense that the full moon is to be the NEW MOON!  What a beautiful truth it is!! We are so very thankful to have learned the importance of keeping a new moon day.
