Passover’s Blood-Stained Trail of Promise
PASSOVER’S
Blood-Stained Trail of PROMISE
No greater story has ever been told than that of mankind becoming contaminated by depravity called “sin” and finding themselves seemingly irretrievably lost and separated from their maker. Upon earth’s stage, at the very moment their eternal future seemed dashed and formidably out of reach, an illustrious and divinely ordained plan was implemented whereby mankind may be fully restored back to Him, their Eternal Father, Yahuah Alahim.
With a staggering degree of conflict and resolution, this most epic story of all time portrays the PROMISE of the “THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD” (Revelation 13:8). The lamb was to be the primary metaphor for the anointed Messiah who would one day come and lay down His life for sin and sinners, that we may receive life eternal.
This was fashioned to create a bond between the sinner and their Savior that shall one day soon triumph over evil. It is this bond that shall never be broken again for all those who are REDEEMED from a world of darkness and evil continually.
Passover’s Meaning
The word PASSOVER (Pasch) means diverse things to different people. To the Yahudim (Jews), it is a reminder of the great Passover in Egypt when their firstborn males were spared from certain death as a result of their strict obedience to YAHUAH’S PASSOVER criteria. To the Renewed Covenant (New Testament) believers, it brings them to the foot of the cross/stake, the Crucifixion of their Messiah, the PROMISED LAMB, who provided THE ONLY WAY UNTO LIFE ETERNAL for all confessing sinners, but the choice was to be theirs.
For many today who are coming into a fuller knowledge of Passover, they may desire to know with certainty when Passover is and how they might keep it Kadosh (set apart for holy use). To enhance our current understanding for a more complete and further developed picture of the true meaning of Passover, this article shall seek to follow the sequential path of PASSOVER from the beginning of time on earth. This time-honored blood-stained trail of Promise connects the first PASSOVER events from its epi-center in Eden with each of the time-stamped events of the Covenant with Abraham, the Exodus from Egypt, and finally, the Crucifixion of our Messiah, the Shepherd/Lamb/Door and Melchizedek (Righteous King and Kohen).
Retracing the Passover Events
By looking back and retracing the blood-stained trail of time-centric events, we can discover an almost lost yet foundational significance of Passover’s sacrificial lamb. Its purpose was to keep the two-part PROMISE ever before the people as a guarantee of the coming Messiah, a guarantee of forgiveness to all who humbly confess their sins, and a guarantee of eternal life beyond the grave to all Yahuah’s obedient followers.
From the moment SIN originated in Eden, death was the required and eternal destiny of our first parents. But through our Creator’s great love and compassion, a plan was established whereby the Eternal Father’s only Son, Yahusha haMashiach (the Messiah), would take upon Himself the penalty and consequences of that SIN for all sinners who trusted fully in Him.
It was to be through this divine strategy, Yahusha was anointed the promised Messiah. He alone was destined to lay down His life as an atonement for sin, swapping His life for the sins of the whole world so that they may receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, He gave freely to all those who accepted His great gift, the promise of restoration and eternal life through confession and obedience. This promise was manifest once a year on the specific lunar date of Passover, the fourteenth day counted from the full New Moon. This is the true meaning of Passover’s blood-stained trail of promise that led to the crucifixion of the Messiah and Passover’s ultimate fulfillment and guarantee of Eternal Life for confessing sinners.
Reversing the Order of Passover Events for Clarity
While the actual date is not provided in the Genesis narrative, nor the name of Passover, these can be discovered by following the consistent and perpetual time-centric bloodstained trail of Promise in reverse. Begin with the date of the crucifixion of the Messiah, then going further back, note the several recorded events during the time of the Kings of Israel and Judah, and continue back to the Passover in Egypt, and all the way back to Abraham and the dark night when the covenant was made with him (Genesis 15:12-17). Each Passover event occurred on the 14th of the First Month in spring. After working through these events in reverse order, we can now see more clearly the ordained date of Passover and why it has remained steadfast among the set-apart followers of the PROMISE, consistently occurring upon the 14th of Abib (the first month of the year in spring), all the way back to Eden and the very day sin entered.
It appears that each Passover is recorded as a yearly cyclical trail of events, a memorial of that first Passover in Eden, ever pointing forward to the promise of the coming Messiah. This provides an opportunity for redeemed sinners to honor with sacred and set-apart celebration, YAHUAH’S grand provisions. Its purpose was to reveal Yahuah’s continued and unsurpassed great love and guidance for His children, and that His promises are true and were to be fulfilled by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, that sinners may be restored back to the Eternal Father, YAHUAH Alahim. While it is a known fact that the Plan of Salvation was first implemented in Eden, Scripture records the provision for sin was made long before and previous even to the Creation of this world.
“. . . The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8
Some may have never connected Passover to the first lamb sacrifice in Eden, 2,500 years previous to Israel’s Exodus from Egypt. With this in mind, it appears that according to this ground zero sacrifice in Eden, Passover was at that earliest date fixed to the date of the 14th of the First Month in spring, as counted from the New Moon, when sin first occurred. All succeeding Passover events occurred upon the memorial of this staggering event, depicting the date when sin originated in Eden. Most astonishing of all and central to its theme is that the promise, the remedy for sin’s removal via the Lamb, the eternal symbol of Yahusha, the Messiah, was ordained from sin’s inception to occur upon the precise same day that sin entered Eden. Who knew? Yet, how marvelous is this? HalleluYAH!
This irresistible theme brought forth from Genesis to Revelation is evidence of mankind’s original sin, mankind’s great need for a Redeemer, and the REMEDY born of the promise and provision of Yahusha ha Mashiach (the Messiah). Add to this that it was proactively DATE STAMPED and counted from the full moon, the start of the first YEAR and first MONTH of creation, also known as Rosh Hashanah. How can this be? How can we know?
Passover in Eden
Now, back to the beginning. The first recorded event relating to Passover was earth-shattering. It occurred in Eden on the specific lunar date of the 14th, counted from the New Moon, when Adam and Eve fell from righteousness and ate the forbidden fruit. Next to the crucifixion of the Messiah, this was no doubt the most devastating event on earth, as it changed the course of history, and it was to cost the life of the only Son of the ETERNAL YAHUAH ALAHIM.
That very day, while yet in the garden, the first lamb had to be slain for Adam and Eve, as the sign and promise of the WAY of escape from eternal damnation and death via the true LAMB who was to come to take away the sin of the world. The Creator then fashioned from the skins of this slain lamb clothes for the fig leaf-clad couple (. But most importantly, these were to symbolize the Robes of the Messiah’s Righteousness, born of the promise that their redemption would be one day worked out by their Creator, and not themselves, through His Son alone, Yahusha the Messiah.
“Unto Adam also and to his wife did YAHUAH Alahim (G-d) make coats of skins, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21
Cain and Abel’s Passover Sacrifice
One generation after sin entered, the second significant Passover event is recorded with a description of how Yahuah Alahim called Cain and Abel to sacrifice a lamb. Yahuah accepted Abel’s sacrifice, for he sought to enter into Yahuah’s graces at the door of obedience and receive the promise. But Cain’s sacrifice of produce from his field of crops was rejected because it was not the prescribed lamb of the promise, nor was it the result of obedience. As a result, Cain was jealous and angry and slew his brother. (Genesis 4:1-10) Here again, no date is given, but it can be deduced in reverse from Passover’s blood-stained trail of promise.
Abraham and the Passover Covenant
Approximately 2,100 years later, the third vital recorded Passover event occurred after Abraham was barakah (blessed ברכה) by Melchizedek, the Righteous King of Salem (Yarushalom) (Genesis 14:19). Sometime later, Yahuah made the covenant with Abraham on the dark night of the 14th of Aviv, when no moon was present, 430 years prior to Moses and Israel’s Exodus from Egypt, to the very day. (Genesis 15:12-18) This is a nail in a sure place that illustrates that the event of Passover’s 14th of Abib lunar date did not commence with the Exodus but was foundational to the obedient followers of Yahuah since sin entered Eden and which was carried over to Abraham. No doubt, all this time, the sacrificing of a lamb had been a continual time-centric event that revealed all those who were Yahuah’s obedient followers, Sons, and Daughters of the Most High, upon the earth.
Thus, it appears that Yahuah Alahim had an obedient group of believers who perpetually kept Passover from the time of Adam until Noah, and through Shem until Abraham, and then through Jacob and his twelve sons. As Scripture reveals, it was through the covenant with Abraham that the promise was given that through his seed, the Messiah would come and fulfill the promise. This was the focus for which Abraham’s seed became the “Seed of Promise.” For Abraham’s seed passed through Isaac, his only son of promise, and then on to Jacob, who alone received the birthright of the Melchizedek order and the Promise of the true Passover Lamb, Yahusha the Messiah.
The children of Israel were the children of promise, retaining the last remnants of the physical bloodline of the Melchizedek order, but most importantly, as they consistently remained faithful to the oracles of truth bestowed upon them. While it may have appeared that as a result of Israel’s captivity in Egypt, the knowledge of Yahuah’s time-centric Passover and its Promise would be lost forever, they had it on good authority from the Abrahamic Covenant that they would not remain in bondage forever. The historical record testifies that Israel remained in Egypt for 430 years to the very day. Part of that time, they were free, and part of it, they were in bondage.
Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. Genesis 15:13
Abraham’s Call to Sacrifice His Son Isaac
Not to be excluded from this lineup of Passover events is that of Abraham’s call from YAHUAH Alahim to sacrifice his only son of promise in the land of Moriah on a specific mountain and specific day, as a test of faithfulness (Genesis 22:2, 22:14). But also, to prophesy the exact day and location for which YAHUSHA haMashiach was to lay down His life as a ransom for sinners.
The Question
“And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb (#7716 – שׂה – sha – lamb) for a burnt offering?” Genesis 22:7
The Answer
“And Abraham said, My son, Alahim, will provide himself a lamb (#7716 – שׂה – sha – lamb) for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” Genesis 22:8
After building an altar with wood and placing Isaac upon it, when Abraham stretched out his hand with a knife to slay his son, YAHUAH Alahim called out from heaven. He said, “Lay not your hand upon the lad. I now know that you honor Alahim, in that you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”(Genesis 22:12). A ram caught in a thicket was sacrificed in his place. Yet, both Isaac and the ram caught were prophetic symbols of the same sacrificial event to be performed at a later Passover date by the promised Messiah alone.
Then note that from the original Hebrew text, some hidden details can be extracted, not formerly noticed.
“And Abraham called the name of that place “YAHUAH HE SHALL PROVIDE,” which it shall be said of “THIS DAY,” in “THIS MOUNTAIN OF YAHUAH,” “THIS SHALL BE SEEN.” Genesis 22:14
So it is that this verse in Genesis 22:14 transcends the specific location and specific date on which YAHUAH tested Abraham. As a result, we can now see in hindsight that Abraham, on that specific Mount of Moriah, on that specific date in time, declared in prophetic accuracy that this was the place and the date upon which the long-promised Messiah would fulfill His Sacrificial destiny for mankind. As a result, we know that this date was none other than the fourteenth day of the first lunar month of Abib, which would later be given the name of Passover (Pasch) when the Children of Israel were delivered from Egyptian Bondage. Further still, this was a three-part prophecy in which the exact LUNAR DATE and LOCATION were tied to the long-promised EVENT upon which YAHUSHA, our Messiah, was to lay down His life as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins nearly 2,000 years in advance. HalleluYAH!!!
Yasharal’s Exodus from Egypt Depended Upon Passing the Test
Precisely 430 years later, to the very day (Exodus 12:41), the fourth momentous recorded Passover event occurred on the 14th of Aviv in Egypt, illustrating that Yahuah would not allow His chosen people to remain captives forever or allow their purpose of being the people of the promise, upon earth to be thwarted. This occured at that time the tenth plague was poured out for the sake of Israel’s Exodus from Egypt and release from bondage.
Their first test of faith was foundational to all the other Passover criteria and their freedom. Only those who followed the detailed guidance given by Yahuah Alahim to first locate the true full New Moon for the start of the lunar month were to have the correct count to the 14th day in which to sacrifice a lamb in the middle of the month. Passover was both central to the count from the correct full New Moon, as well as the symbol of the great sacrifice to come of the Messiah. (Exodus 12:1-4).
“The New Moon, this self-same one, is HEAD (ROSH) of the LUNAR MONTHS, which is FIRST in PLACE as the New Moon for measuring the revolution of the year (HASHANAH). You shall keep and teach this to all the congregation of Israel saying, “in the tenth of the lunar month, do the following: And you shall reserve and keep every man a lamb for each household of the father, a lamb for each house.” Exodus 12:1-3 (The Creator’s Calendar Hebrew Study) (Also this is the verse that reveals that Rosh Hashanah is in the spring.)
The very fact that Yahuah had to clarify His authentic New Moon in Exodus 12:1-3 verifies that the dark conjunction lunar phase, which was used as the New Moon by the Egyptians (ancient Babylonians and now modern Rabbinical Jews), was incorrect, and we now know it missed the mark by 180 degrees. In order to sacrifice a lamb on the correct day and avoid the death of the firstborn, Israel must first restore the Creator’s authentic Calendar and begin their count from the correct full New Moon and count to the 14th day, which occurred on the dark conjunction lunar phase. Simply, everything else hinged upon their faithfulness to this time-centric lunar realignment. Who knew? Link to article – Restoring the Creator’s Calendar.
Next, they were to sacrifice a lamb according to the details laid out and be sure to place the blood on the two doorposts and lintel of their homes. Following all the explicit instructions given was to be their test of obedience that would preserve their lives that night, freeing them from their shackles of bondage and permitting them to proceed to the Promised Land by the strong arm of Yahuah Alahim.
YAHUAH’s Test of Obedience
- They must first restore the Creator’s Calendar with its reoriented Full New Moon, for lunar Years, lunar Months, lunar Sabbaths, and the installation of His Prophetic lunar appointed Feast Days. All time unites were to be counted from the first full moon in the spring, in contrast to Egypt’s dark or crescent New Moon time-measuring system.
- They must follow the details provided for the Lamb sacrifice.
- They must place the blood properly upon the lintel and door posts.
- Roast and eat the entire Lamb according to the directions on the night that followed the 14th daylight.
- No one was to step outside the door of their houses until sunrise.
How might this five-part test of obedience correlate to modern times and our preparation for the heavenly Promised Land?
On a side note: Although not mentioned in Scripture, if both the Egyptians and Israelites had followed the guidelines Yahuah Alahim gave to Moses but applied them to the Egyptian dark New Moon, they would have both performed the Passover sacrifice on an altogether wrong day, half a month off. This may have been what actually occurred with the Egyptians. Their only chance of preserving their lives depended upon perfect obedience to Yahuah with regard to both TIME AND EVENT. In order for the Egyptians to get it right and preserve their lives, they would have had to acknowledge that their own calendar was DEAD WRONG. Instead, they must count 14 days from the full New Moon, as shared with Moses and Aaron. But although the lives of all their firstborn sons hung in the balance, they refused to change their calendar in compliance with YAHUAH Alahim’s requirement. Support Evidence for the Full Moon as the Start of Years and Months.
Might this be a powerful lesson for us today as we prepare for our release from captivity and journey to the Promised Land and the earth made new again? For more evidence of a full New Moon, refer to the article Support Evidence for the Full New Moon.
It [Passover] shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes that Yahuah’s TORAH (LAW) may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahuah has brought you out of Egypt. You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its
season(H#4150 – mo’edah – specific lunar appointed date) from year to year. Exodus 13:9-10
(Mo’edah #4150 מועדה = specific lunar appointed date; appointed place; set feast; fixed time; an assembly.)
Counting from the correct full New Moon, from year to year, Passover is to be the sign on our hands and a memorial between our eyes. This is the only method by which the Torah (Commandments, Statutes, and Judgments) may be found in our mouths. And folks, if the Torah is not found in your mouth, neither will it be in your mind. If it is not in your mind, then you will not recognize the true LAMB, who comes as YAHUSHA Ha Mashiach and NOT as Jesus Christ. Stunningly, this falsified name is one of the greatest counterfeits ever perpetrated upon an unsuspecting mankind.
Joshua’s Passover at the Door of the Promised Land
Forty years later, to the very day that Yahuah led Moses and His ragtag people out of Egyptian bondage, the children of Israel entered the Promised Land and celebrated Passover on the 14th day of Abib/Aviv for the very first time. This date of Abib 14 fell consistently upon the sixth day of the lunar week, each of those 40 years in the wilderness. (Joshua 5:10) Yet strikingly, this would occur approximately 1/7th of the time if the modern continuous weekly cycle had been in use. Joshua’s record illustrated Yasharal’s (Israel’s) learned obedience after wandering in the wilderness those many years. Also highlighted is Israel’s obedience to keeping Passover, the 14th counted from the New Moon was their ticket and DOOR out of bondage in Egypt and also the DOOR into the Promised Land, as both were tied to their strict obedience to this TIME & EVENT.
On this 14th day, the Israelites gathered the morning manna for the very last time. They gathered a double portion, enough for that sixth day of the week (the 14th of the lunar month) and for the next day, the Sabbath of the 15th. So, in addition to their sacrificed lambs, they would have eaten manna at sunset according to Yahuah’s Passover requirements. And so it was, on the next day (the Sabbath of the 15th), for the Feast of Unleavened Bread, they ate the last of the manna they had gathered from the previous day, along with parched grain from the local fields. (Joshua 5:11) As a result, upon their entrance into the promised land, Passover, the 14th, marked the day that the manna was sent from above for the last time.
This story of the manna in the wilderness revealed that both the count of the days of the month and the cycling rhythm of the weeks and their seventh-day Sabbaths were according to the count from the ordained New Moon that refreshed the week cycle each lunar month. Thus it was that for 40 years in a row, each Sabbath occurred consistently on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29 of each month. Refer to the article, Three Months in a Row – Part 1-4.
Also, let not the significance be lost that Joshua, whose very name is really pronounced as Yahusha and spelled as (#3091 יהושׁע), was a type and forerunner of the YAHUSHA ha Mashiach. Joshua was chosen to deliver Israel into the Promised Land under the direction of Yahusha (#3091 יהושׁע), the Promised Messiah. Both the full New Moon that starts each month and the manna sent from above every morning also represented the Messiah, as the LIGHT OF TRUTH and the LIVING BREAD given freely to all.
All who synchronize to this brilliant lunar phase at the first of the month and the dark conjunction phase on the 14th of Aviv and eat this bread, representing the Messiah, receive His Passover gift of the promise of eternal life. These will be inheritors of the Promised Land for all eternity with the Messiah.
On Passover, every year, the moon is dark, and on that day, there is even a solar eclipse from time to time. So it should not come as a surprise that this very thing occurred nearly 2,000 years ago, announcing the death of the YAHUSHA, our Messiah, the only begotten Son of Yahuah. On that dark and epic appointed day, the Light of the world had died, and the universe, together with the Eternal Father, mourned.
The Promised Lamb’s Passover Fulfillment
THE ULTIMATE PASSOVER, the Crucifixion of the Messiah approximately 1,500 years after the Exodus from Egypt, sealed the destiny of all those who claim its PROMISE and enter at the DOOR, whether past, present, or future. Passover, Aviv 14, A.D. 31, was the first of seven ministerial phases in the Messiah’s Salvation mechanism and REMEDY for sin as signified by each of the Feast Days. Yet, through it all, He would hold four specific roles. First as Shepherd, second as LAMB, third as Kohen (priest), and lastly as Victorious King. The crucifixion was not the end of His work on behalf of sinners, for His words, “IT IS FINISHED,” marked the conclusion of this second step only. The REMEDY is a package deal that must include all seven of the lunar appointed Feast Days.
On that day, at the epicenter of the appointed time, the SHEPHERD BECAME THE LAMB. He became our Lamb sacrifice by laying down His life for the sins of all mankind.
As a result, all earthlings were given the freedom of choice to accept this great gift of pardon from sin and receive the promise of Salvation full and freely provided to all those who would accept this gift of love through obedience. This Greatest Gift of all time was both central to the count from the correct full New Moon along with the event born of the PROMISE OF RESTORATION, as it was the fulfillment of a 4,000-year-old GUARANTEE to His obedient followers since its beginning in Eden and also to the end of time. (Matthew 27:1-42)
“I am the DOOR. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9
While this marvelous gift remains free to all who ENTER AT THE DOOR (the full New Moon as an icon of the true door, the Messiah), we can only receive pardon through confession of sin before YAHUAH Alahim, the Eternal Father, yet upon the merits of the Shepherd Messiah turned Lamb.
Only the sheep who hear His voice and enter at the correct gate (the full New Moon gate of Ezekiel 46:1) of Yahusha, our Master Shepherd, are His sheep. These alone follow His voice to the gate/door on Abib 1 (Rosh Hashanah, New Year’s Day, the full New Moon Day that marks the feet of Bethulah/Virgo) and count to the 14th day each year. Just as Israel had to reorient to the full New Moon in order to keep Passover on the correct dark conjunction moon day, so will all the Messiah’s true followers at the end of time. These alone abide there in His sheepfold because they hear His voice, in full and complete loving obedience to synchronize their lives to all His commands as they follow their Shepherd/Lamb/Door/ and Melchizedek, whithersoever He goes (Revelation 14:4).
The full New Moon representing our Messiah is the only DOOR/GATE of the entrance unto the WAY OF SALVATION. He is the GATE/DOOR on Rosh Hashanah, Abib/Aviv 1, the LAMB sacrifice on Aviv 14, our Bread Salvation on Aviv 15, and the PROMISE of ETERNAL LIFE on Aviv 16, so that you and I may have the assurance of an ETERNAL FUTURE beyond the grave. This format identifies the only REMEDY and path of RESTORATION that commences in the EAST when the full New Moon rises. If we don’t enter at the EAST GATE, everything else will be futile.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the DOOR, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1
Yahusha said to him, “I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
In the Kohen (priestly) work of the Messiah in the shamayim Temple above, the EAST GATE and Passover are followed by several more essential steps of Salvation’s mechanism, as outlined by the remainder of His set-apart Feast Days.
IT IS THESE FEAST DAYS THAT REPRESENT THE ONLY PATHWAY OF THE RIGHTEOUS UNTO SALVATION. There is no other WAY to receive pardon outside of our Creator’s prescribed remedy. We are to enter at the DOOR/GATE by celebrating with our Messiah, His correct New Moon that arises in the EAST by night, which marks the constellation Bethulah/Virgo as the start of the year.
This one-night event announces the true Rosh Hashanah, New Year’s Day, to commence the following morning at sunrise in spring. From this visible LIGHT display, we are to count 14 days to PASSOVER. It is only in this way that we may follow the LAMB, the TRUE MESSIAH, whithersoever He goes.
This is the layout of His Temple, the BLUEPRINT of the path of salvation. If we don’t enter at this time-centric DOOR that bears the promise, on that great day, we are likely to hear those fateful words, “I NEVER KNEW YOU. DEPART FROM ME!”
Man’s Final Passover Test
For the last nearly 2,000 years since the Crucifixion of the Messiah, there have no doubt been some obedient believers among mankind who have consistently celebrated the true Passover on the 14th of Abib, as counted from the correct full New Moon. It seems a logical conclusion as Yahuah appeared to desire continuity even if among a small group of people, as evidenced by the eight saved in Noah’s Ark. Following the resurrection of our Messiah, these faithful would have been the fearless men and women, the Natsarim (Quartodecimen), who amidst the perils and strife stood for truth in contrast to the falsified New Moons, and counterfeit calendars wielded by Roman Emperors and their captive Rabbinical Pharisees and all their Jewish followers.
These obedient followers were neither swayed by the introduction of Easter to replace Passover nor the promotion of Christmas and all the festivals of the sun cult. Rather, they remained unswervingly obedient to keeping the correct East Gate New Moon and Passover’s Promise central in their lives, as this is the entire theme of Scripture. Refer to the article, Constantine’s Easter Controversy with the Obedient Quartodecimen.
This GREAT DOOR OF PROMISE will one day soon close forever. The final Passover upon earth will occur as usual on the 14th of Abib/Aviv as counted from the correct full New Moon. By the Eternal’s standards, His obedient followers must get this right because this will be His testing truth for all of those who seek the Promised Land, the eternal home with Yahusha, their Messiah/Shepherd/Lamb/Door/ and Melchizedek. Claiming His blood for our sins on Passover at the correct time ensures that all the succeeding New Moons, Sabbaths, and annual Kadosh Feast Days will also be correct for the remainder of the year, which ultimately synchronizes His faithful and obedient to the LAST GREAT DAY and HIS RETURN.
“When once the Master of the house has risen up and SHUT THE DOOR, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the DOOR, saying, Yahuah, Yahuah, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, or where are you from? Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you or where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of Yahuah, and yourselves thrust out. Luke 13:25-28
Only those who seek and locate the correct full New Moon will find the true Passover date of the 14th, along with its corresponding DOOR OF SALVATION. Only those who seek to harmonize their lives and soul temples with that of Yahuah’s throne room in the shamayim (heavens) and the New Jerusalem will be saved. His true and only sheepfold are now being prepared to dwell throughout eternity there in His lunar-based Kingdom Government. No other test will do because the EAST GATE and 14-day count to Passover, with its sacrificial promise and time-centric date placement, has remained the tried and true test of obedience to Yahuah from the inception of sin in Eden and will continue unto sin’s full and complete removal. All who declare all they have to do is believe are fooling themselves. Yahuah requires faithful obedience to Passover’s Blood-Stained Trail of Promise. Just as no one could enter the Most Holy Place of the Temple (which represents the throne of YAHUAH Alahim) without the blood of the Lamb, on the correct day of Atonement, no one will enter heaven who has disregarded the Passover and Atonement Feast days as well as all the others. For these are the PATHWAY and REMEDY led by Yahusha, our Messiah unto Salvation.
Truly, these times of ignorance Yahuah Alohim overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent . . . Acts 17:30
The day is coming very soon when our Messiah/Shepherd/Lamb/Door/ and Melchizedek will arise and shut PASSOVER’S DOOR OF PROMISE, signifying the end of probation for mankind and that the sealing of His flock is complete. THIS IS THE DOOR THAT NO MAN CAN OPEN OR SHUT EXCEPT THE LAMB. And once it is shut, it will never be opened again (Revelation 3:8). When PASSOVER’S DOOR OF PROMISE is finally shut, Yahuah shall declare:
“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still;
he who is filthy, let him be filthy still;
he who is righteous, let him be righteous still;
he who is kadosh (set-apart and holy),
let him be kadosh (set-apart and holy) still.”
Revelation 22:11
Hearing the Shepherd’s Call
Yahusha, our Messiah’s last instructions to His Disciples in the upper room, were with regard to how to keep Passover perpetually from that day forward until His RETURN when He would keep it with them for all eternity.
For I say to you, “I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of Yahuah.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of Yahuah comes.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the Brit Hadasha (new covenant) in My blood, which is shed for you.” Luke 22:16-20
If the Messiah had intended for PASSOVER and its central PROMISE to be abolished the next day at the very moment of its fulfillment, none of His instruction given above would have been necessary. His statement, “I will no longer eat of it or drink of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of Yahuah,” illustrates that His followers were to continue celebrating Passover once per year on the 14th of the First Lunar Month, as counted from the full New Moon, until His return. By perpetually eating the bread and drinking the wine once each year on the 14th of Aviv, a full restoration promised to endure, as it could not be complete until His return. From the time of the Messiah’s death, NO LAMBS are to be slain, for He became the LAMB once and for all time.
Indeed, the emphasis here, as it was twice stated, was to carry on with celebrating as a memorial this solemn Kadosh (sacred) Feast Day event. The promise is then given that Yahusha, the Messiah, will not eat or drink Passover again until the Kingdom of Yahuah comes upon His return. Thus, we discover that YAHUSHA will begin the eating and drinking of Passover again at the setting up of His Kingdom. From His death and resurrection and throughout His Eternal Kingdom, no lambs will die for sin, for there will be no more death there, and sin will be a long-lost thing of the past. HalleluYAH!
Is there any question that Passover will be consistently and perpetually celebrated through all eternity according to the 14th of the First Lunar Month as counted from the full New Moon (the only lunar phase arising in the east in spring) as the GREATEST SIGN OF THE ETERNAL’S GREAT LOVE AND BOUNTIFUL MERCY FOR HIS FAITHFUL AND OBEDIENT CHILDREN?
Passover for Eternity
For all of us who have lived these many generations after our Messiah’s Passover blood ratification was complete, we remain under the prescription of His last words, according to Brit Hadasha (N.T.). No doubt, His foreknowledge was that in Himself, the long promised and required sacrifice was to be met the next day, the 14th of Abib/Aviv.
Therefore, we are to continue to keep this most significant Feast of Passover on the 14th day, but not by sacrificing a lamb, for the LAMB OF PROMISE has already come. He was sacrificed for all sin, and He ratified the mandate in the Torah requiring the death of the sinner, and then He rose again to new life. Being raised to life was the visible SIGN and GUARANTEE that His sacrifice and atonement were accepted, mankind’s future was secured, and as promised, they too would rise to new life. PRAISE YAHUSHA, OUR MASHIACH!
Today, all these many years later, only our Shepherd’s true flock continues to follow the yearly time prescriptive Passover as a memorial of these historical and set-apart time-centric events. By rehearsing it once each year, we are called to ENTER AT THE DOOR and traverse PASSOVER’S BLOOD-STAINED TRAIL OF PROMISE, AS IT IS ALONE, THE GREAT SIGN AND GUARANTEE OF A FUTURE BEYOND THE GRAVE.
FOR IF THERE WAS:
NO FULL NEW MOON RISING IN THE EAST,
NO 14TH DAY FROM THE FULL NEW MOON;
NO PATHWAY OF PROMISE,
NO DOOR/GATE TO ENTER INTO THE PATH/WAY,
THERE WOULD BE:
NO SHEPHERD, NO LAMB,
NO MESSIAH, NO PASSOVER,
NO KOHEN PRIEST, NO FORGIVENESS,
NO TORAH IN OUR MOUTH, NO KING OF KINGS,
AND
NO HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE!
The pathway of PROMISE is the ONLY REMEDY that provides forgiveness and restoration. It is found only through the time-centric SPRING FULL NEW MOON DOOR/GATE, which identifies the true MESSIAH AND HIS PATHWAY OF PROMISE.
Those who pass this test of loyalty on earth will be celebrating Passover from year to year by eating the bread and drinking the fruit of the vine together with their Messiah, who redeemed them for all eternity.
Every year, Passover will be celebrated as a Kadosh (set-apart) reminder of what our sin, which began in Eden, cost our loving and compassionate Creator, both the Eternal Father and His only begotten Son.
Fulfilling the Promise of Eternal Life
Because of the great bond between the Redeemer and His Redeemed, they will be rewarded with the contractual DEED of the Brit Hadasha (Bridal Covenant) with full admission to the Kadosh city, the New Jerusalem above (heaven, the home of our Bridegroom and betrothed). The greatest witness for this reality comes to us from the Messiah Himself, when He PROMISED to His sorrowing disciples as He was ascending into the shamayim (heaven).
“Let not your hearts be troubled: you believe in YAHUAH, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3
At His Second Coming, His feet shall not touch the earth, but rather He will come in the clouds of the shamayim (heaven). From the east in all His manifest glory and majesty, He shall come and make His way unto the west to gather His elect among those of the first resurrection and the remnant that are alive and remain yet living. All this is accomplished in the same manner as when the ruling sun, moon, and stars shine forth their LIGHTS from the east unto the west.
“For as the
lightning[luminaries] come from the east, and shine even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:27
“And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Luke 21:27
“For Yahusha HaMashiach (our Messiah), Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahuah: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet Yahusha HaMashiach in the air: and so shall we ever be with Yahusha HaMashiach. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
What a day that will be when the PROMISE AND RESTORATION TO THE ETERNAL FATHER ARE COMPLETE. It is then that the mighty YAHUSHA HaMashiach/ Shepherd/ Lamb/ Door/ and Melchizedek will be our long last eternal KING OF KINGS (Revelation 21:2). FOR WE HAVE ENTERED INTO THE PRESENCE AND JOY OF YAHUAH ALAHIM! HALLELUYAH!!!
