Part 1
In his book, “The Book of Mysteries,” Jonathan Cahn relays a lesson given to him in Israel. His short narrative transitions nicely into how to number and appoint our days.
“We’ve spoken of the year before you,” said the teacher. “Today we will speak of the days before you. What will the days, yet to come, bring to your life?”
“How could I know that?” I replied. “I don’t really have a say in the matter.”
“But what if you did?”
“How?”
“It is written, ‘Teach us to number our days.’ (Psalms 90:12.) What does it mean?”
“That our days are limited, and so it’s wise to number them”
“That’s correct,” he said, “And it’s the first meaning of the Scripture verse. But in the original language is a secret. And this secret can change your life, the days of your life. In Hebrew, it says, ‘Teach us to manah our days.’ The same word, manah, appears in the Book of Jonah where it is written that Yahuah Alahim manah’s a fish, a worm, and the wind.”
“Then manah must mean more than number.”
“It does. It means to prepare and to appoint. So you must not only number your days, you must learn to prepare your days to appoint your days.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means that you’re not just to watch and wait passively to see what your days will bring. You are to prepare them.”
“How can I prepare my days before they happen?”
“How did the first days happen in the beginning? They didn’t just happen. Before they existed, Yahuah Alahim our Creator prepared them. He appoints them. He purposed them. So if you’re a child of His, you are called to do likewise.”
“How?”
“Prayer.”
“Praying for days that don’t yet exist?”
“Prayer isn’t only for what is, but for what is not yet.”
“But I can’t determine what will happen.”
“It doesn’t’ matter what happens. You appoint your days trusting Yahuah Alahim to bring what is good. You consecrate them for HIS PURPOSES. And then you use your days to accomplish those purposes. Don’t let your days determine your life. Let your life determine your days. And don’t’ just let your days go by. Prepare them, that they might become vessels of blessing and life. Seasons and Their Beginnings
From the above narrative, we have discovered that manah (H#4487- מנות) means to number and also to appoint. What would you say if Yahuah Alahim gave you and me the tools to number and appoint our days correctly? And what if these numbered days were laid out according to His worship schedule? Would you consider that of interest and viable? Let’s take a look…
“In the beginning, Alahim created the shamayim (heavens) and the earth… Genesis 1:1
And Alahim said, “Let there be LIGHTS in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for SIGNS, and for SEASONS, and for DAYS, and YEARS…day four. Genesis 1:14.
In Genesis 1, our Creator laid the foundation of His TIME principles. He accomplished this by creating the LIGHTS of the SUN, MOON, and STARS. These were ordained as instruments of time-measuring along the east-west time continuum. The focus of this article will be to determine the meaning and significance of the term SEASONS.
Did you know that the word translated as SEASONS in Genesis 1:14 comes from the plural Hebrew word (H#4150 – מועדים – mo’edim = appointed times)? In all Hebrew dictionaries, this important word is defined as “appointed times.” Stunningly, this is the divine time signature designating WHEN to assemble for set-apart worship EVENTS.
Yet, in addition to the Hebrew dictionaries, it has been discovered that Scripture provides extremely specific details for this word SEASONS (H#4150- מועדים – mo’edim = appointed times). It identifies precisely which single tool among the time-measuring instruments of the SUN, MOON, and STARS will be used to number ALL APPOINTED TIMES. We find this amazing piece of evidence in Psalms 104:19.
“He ordained the MOON for SEASONS …” Psalms 104:19
Let’s break it down:
“He (Alahim our Creator) ordained (H#6213 asah – עשׂה) the MOON (H#3394 yareach – ירח) for SEASONS (#4150 mo-edim – מועדים – lunar appointed times)…” Psalms 104:19
Now lets add the final puzzle piece…
Although (SEASONS – #4150 mo’edim) is defined as merely “appointed times” in all our Hebrew Dictionaries, it is this very verse in Psalms 104:19 that changes everything for the sheer fact that it explicitly states that “He ordained the MOON for (#4150 mo’edim) appointed times.”
Wow! What a concept! But what does this mean?
Lunar Appointed Times
The term SEASONS still means “APPOINTED TIMES” (seasons – #4150 – mo’edim = appointed times). But with the added detail that “APPOINTED TIMES ARE TO BE ANNOUNCED BY THE MOON!
Have you ever heard of this concept that SEASONS literally means “LUNAR APPOINTED TIMES?” You would think that knowing this would awaken the churches and good folks everywhere to this solemn truth. It seems they would hasten to adjust their work and sacred worship schedules accordingly. But as Matthew 7:14 says, “…few there be that find it.”
Interestingly, none of the Hebrew Dictionaries, including Strong’s Concordance and Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew dictionary, reveal this astonishing fact from Scripture about the term SEASONS. Add to this fact that all the churches and synagogues also ignore it. This is the moment to consider why this evidence has been hidden and even replaced with alternate calendar systems. But we’ll get to that in a moment.

Getting Personal with the Lunar Appointed Times of Our Lives
So far, our Creator has given us a specific time-measuring tool, the moon, to ensure that the numbered and appointed times on Earth harmonize with His worship schedule. Even if mankind were derailed for a time, His ordained trinity of LIGHTS would continue consistently, surrounding Earth with DIVINE LOVE from the east unto the west.
To bring this closer to home, are you aware that from the moment a young woman begins her life-giving period, her menstruation cycle, from which all babies are incubated and born, is measured from month to month on a lunar calendar? This means that in normal situations, she will ovulate and menstruate consistently during specific lunar phases from lunar month to lunar month. All she needs to do is monitor the same lunar phase every 29-30 days.
Additionally, from conception, the gestation and developmental age of all unborn babies (fetuses) are also consistently measured in lunar months. Nine lunar months will be about eight days short of nine solar months.
So what does this mean? Is it simply coincidental? Absolutely not!! Together, these lunar life cycles forever tie mankind to their Creator and the calendar of His creation, which is set apart as holy by His lunar appointed times (mo’edim/seasons). This shows that from the first cell division to the full development of our muscles and tendons, our bodies, in all their progressive expansion, were knit together according to the rhythm of LUNAR APPOINTED TIMES by a loving and compassionate Creator.
Synchronized through Lunar Appointed Time
Through this nearly obscure time-measuring system, you and I were divinely synchronized to the eternal time-measuring model of our Creator. Through this model alone, He continues to extend the promise of restoring and reuniting each sinner with the Savior by linking our lives with His. More than any other, this fact portrays that ALL LIVES MATTER to our loving Eternal Father, who purposely fashioned each of them in their beginnings to His appointed rhythms.
Although you will never hear this from the church pulpits or synagogues, the LUNAR APPOINTED TIME rhythms born out in Scripture emphasize the same, as they are consistently measured “from one New Moon to another” (Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 46:1-3). Refer to the article, New Moon by New Moon.
This includes the YEARS that commence in spring; twelve and even thirteen LUNAR MONTHS; four WEEKS that cycle from one (full) New Moon Day to the next; four seventh-day SABBATHS that are counted from the (full) New Moon Day; DAYS that are demarcated by 29-30 lunar phases that begin on the full moon; and for ALL annual PROPHETIC SET-APART WORSHIP ASSEMBLIES (H#4744-miqra).
I can hear the wheels of your mind turning as this reveal does not align with what we were all taught in school or church. And yes, it is true that the lunar appointed times do number and appoint the Hebrew Feast Days, but the modern Jews don’t count their seventh-day Sabbaths from the moon anymore, as they once did. And they should know better. On the surface, our long-held time-keeping paradigms have seemed true and worked well enough until now, appearing to be accurate. However, it doesn’t take much to illustrate a systemic flaw and unravel the 1,700-year-old lie. Refer to the article, Appointing Our Days – Part 2. (Coming Soon)
Derailed Momentarily
With all this Scriptural clarification, how is it that mankind of Earth has become so completely derailed from their original divine lunar appointed rhythms of life and worship? And why has this evidence been ignored and hidden for the past 1,700 years?
It’s no secret. It’s all been caused by the great deceiver who continues to live among us. He works tirelessly to eradicate the ancient Scriptural truths found in the Old Testament Torah from the minds of Yahuah’s would-be faithful followers. One of his targets has been the Creator’s beautiful lunar-appointed time-measuring instrument as prophesied in Daniel 7:25, “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and laws…”
He knows the east-west time continuum upon which the sun, moon, and stars revolve would assist us in being restored to the rhythms of our CREATOR and His FREE GIFT OF SALVATION. So, he seeks to keep us blindly following the popular narrative of the purposely derailed modern Roman solar calendar system.
When Julius Caesar Eliminated the Moon
The deceiver was predominantly influential in 45 B.C. when Julius Caesar first eliminated the moon from the Roman calendar and legislated an eight-day week that cycled with no lunar boundaries. He was also there when Constantine created his new solar calendar model in A.D. 325, in rebellion against the Creator of Heaven and Earth and His Torah Law. Is there any wonder good folks today remain utterly unaware that they are marching to the rhythm of the counterfeit replacement calendar? Like the Wizard of Oz, Satan has always been behind the curtain, pulling the strings. He has worked closely in the churches and synagogues to ensure a continued blind following, as did the Pied Piper.
In the mid-1st century B.C. Julius Caesar invited Sosigenes, an Alexandrian astronomer, to advise him about the reform of the calendar, and Sosigenes decided that the only practical step was to abandon the lunar calendar altogether. As it turns out, this LUNAR APPOINTED TIME MODEL is one-half of the “EVIDENCE EQUATION” for the PLAN OF SALVATION. The other half is the SET-APART PROPHETIC ASSEMBLY EVENTS to be fulfilled by Yahusha HaMashiach alone. These two, TIME AND EVENT can never be separated as they form the unbreakable bond of EVIDENCE that we serve a loving Alahim (God). He will stop at nothing to save people and restore them into His image and likeness. His entire plan has been to synchronize our soul temples to those of His own for all eternity. This is a condition that will be consistently honored in His Eternal Kingdom.
The Open and Shut Door
Scripture presents an ongoing invitation to enter at the gate/door. The purpose is to meet with Yahuah Alahim and His Son Yahusha, our Messiah. Its rhythm of APPOINTED TIME is illustrated by the gate/door when it is open or closed for worship (Ezekiel 46:1-3) and is set by the moon as we discovered that the word SEASONS means “lunar appointed times.” Of course, we are to pray and commune with our maker and Savior anytime, day or night, but He has designated when the door/gate is open for all to assemble for sacred appointments according to His preset REMEDY OF RESTORATION, HIS TIME & EVENT AS THE FOUNDATION TO THE PLAN OF SALVATION. It identifies who His faithful are. Open Doors in the Bible.
In Revelation 3:8, there is a reference to the open door that no man can shut. Together, these reveal that Yahuah’s faithful followers are ordained to enter at the door when it is open for LUNAR APPOINTED TIMES OF WORSHIP. These are His New Moon Days, lunar Sabbaths, and the lunar PROPHETIC and SET-APART APPOINTED FEAST DAYS. These commence on ROSH HASHANAH (New Year’s Day) in the spring. It begins when the full moon is nearest Bethulah’s (Virgo’s) feet. It ends with the last APPOINTED FEAST DAY in the fall.
The Path of Lunar Appointed Time
Each Feast in its place along the pathway of LUNAR APPOINTED TIME identifies that the PLAN OF SALVATION is tied to specific lunar dates, including HIS SECOND COMING. Amazingly, this LUNAR APPOINTED FEAST ASSEMBLY EVENT SCHEDULE is the living PATH OF THE LAMB. Only by way of this ordered lunar arrangement may our soul temples be synchronized to that of His that we may be granted admission to enter the Holy of Holies (Kadosh of Kadoshim) by faith, through the BLOOD OF THE LAMB. Each yearly rehearsal signifies that one day, very soon, His faithful and obedient believers will enter physically through the pearly gates at YAHUSHA, the Messiah’s SECOND COMING. They have “FOLLOWED THE LAMB WHETHER SOEVER HE GOES” and will FOR ALL ETERNITY.
Behold the Bridegroom Cometh
At the end of time, there will be two groups who claim to be believers and followers of the Messiah. These are referred to as the five wise and five foolish virgins. (Matthew 25:1-13). Both will be awakened to the midnight cry, “BEHOLD THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH, GO YOU OUT TO MEET HIM!” But alas, only those who have made preparations in advance will have enough oil of His anointing. These alone will have their lamps trimmed and burning bright. Only they will know when the DOOR to the MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB IS OPEN. They will arrive on time. Those without the oil of His anointing will be out shopping to buy it on the very day the DOOR is open. And then, when they finally arrive at the door, they will be too late as it will be shut. Folks, it is all about His LUNAR APPOINTED TIMES and how willing we are to harmonize our soul temples with His. ROSH HASHANAH is our Creator’s authentic New Year’s Day. It is the first day of His sacred year in the spring and the first day of the First Lunar Month of Abib (Aviv/Nissan).
Did you know our Creator’s original New Year’s Day (Rosh Hashanah) and its coincident full moon, as the Start of Years, were restored to Moses and Aaron sixteen days before leaving Egypt? Yahuah did this to ensure they arrived on the correct 14th day for Passover. All to prepare for leaving Egypt on the 15th of Nissan (Abib) by night after the sacred hours of the seventh-day Sabbath had passed. In like manner, He is restoring His calendar to His faithful seekers of truth today. Returning to His sacred full lunar appointed calendar is the first requirement in preparation for His return and entering His Promised Land (Exodus 12:1-4).
Conclusion
So it is that the DOOR is made up of two parts: the SEASONS (mo’edim – appointed time as beaconed by the moon, meaning “LUNAR APPOINTED TIME, AND THE FEAST DAY EVENTS PERFORMED BY OUR MESSIAH UNTO SALVATION. Enter this door through the blood of the Lamb, YAHUSHA, the Messiah. The Master Designer specifically fashioned it so you and I may be vetted. What will your decision be?
