A 180-degree Revolution
from One New Moon to Another

This article is the official announcement of a paradigm shift at the Creator’s Calendar website. By divine providence, we have changed our position from keeping the first visible crescent as the New Moon to accepting the full moon as the renewed Moon and the start of lunar months.

This has been a pilgrimage journey in truth and humility to arrive at this interchange. There are many reasons for this adjustment, which will be systematically discussed throughout this article. I pray that each of you will consider the evidence and seek divine guidance before dismissing this nontraditional view as of little consequence. This is an incredible revelation as it exposes a 1,700-year-old lie that has remained obscured and status quo until now.

Scripture Studies Reveal the Original New Moon was the Full Moon

All ruling luminaries traverse the visible heavens with light, beginning their rule in the east and terminating in the west. This perpetual visible light display is called the east-west time continuum. The full moon is the only lunar phase the meets this criteria. Article/Study

Four witnesses concur that the SUN will never be visible when YAHUAH’S true New Moon is ruling together with the stars by night. The New Moon together with the stars by night are to rule alone without the SUN, and in total opposition to the sun. Making the full moon our Creator’s true and original New Moon. Article/Study

The night of the Abrahamic Covenant was DARK. This recorded dark night occurred 430 years prior to the Exodus (on the fifteenth of the month, to the very day, making the full moon the true New Moon at the time of the exodus from Egypt.) Article/Study

Amos prophesied that an occulted sun and moon would occur at noon on the day of the Crucifixion, Passover Abib 14, making the full moon the true New Moon 14 days earlier. Article/Study

Luke reveals that the prophetic solar eclipse did occur at noon on Passover, the day of the Crucifixion of our Promised Messiah, in the middle of the month, making the full moon the true New Moon, 14 days earlier. Article/Study

As you know, it is a very humbling experience to spend one’s whole life believing what we were all preconditioned to think, only to discover that we were dead wrong as to whatever day we kept as sacred on the Roman Gregorian calendar. We had all believed that the Roman paper wall calendar was in harmony with Scripture, causing Sunday to be the first day and Saturday the sacred seventh-day Sabbath. But to discover that Saturday does not meet the Scriptural Sabbath criteria as it was preordained to be counted from the New Moon Day, was stunning (Ezekiel 46:1-3, Isaiah 66:23). However, Sunday as the “Lord’s Day” (meaning Yahuah Alahim’s Holy Day) continues to remain pure fiction, as Sunday was never the consistent seventh day or lunar Sabbath on any calendar. Stunningly, both the terms “Lord’s Day” and “Sunday” represent replacement theology.

Our Father continues to lead His trusting seekers of truth ever upward, one step at a time and, occasionally, in great leaps as a process of fine-tuning our understanding. All this to leave the false teachings of Egypt, Babylon, and Roman influences behind. Truth is progressive, and we can only accept new light as we are willing to release our grip on long-beloved theories and views that Scripture cannot support.

Oracles of Truth Lost For a Time

Under the leadership of the prideful Sadducees and Sanhedrin, as well as the Babylonian Pharisee priesthood, the majority of Israel rejected Yahusha as the promised Messiah. Little did they realize that their evil plotting and scheming of His death would become the prophetic fulfillment of the long-promised anointed lamb (שׂה sha) Yahusha, the Savior of the world, slain upon a cross/stake for sinners. Little did they recognize that He alone held the key to their salvation as He took the penalty of sin and death upon Himself. It was only through His three-part ministry that they, too, could have been fully restored back to the Eternal Father if only they humbly confessed. But, their hearts were cold and untouched by the truth of His word. They were overcome by their jealousy of this man from Galilee, who spoke as never a man had spoken before. Ultimately, they declared their own sentence, “Let His blood be upon our children and us.” Matthew 27:25.

“With the destruction of the Temple (A.D. 70) the Sadducees disappeared altogether, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the Pharisees; the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic [Babylonian] point of view, and a new aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older priestly tradition (Abot 1:1). Pharisaism [Babylonianism] shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future. “Pharisees,” The Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol 9, [1901-1906 ed.], p. 666.

“In AD 351-352 Roman persecution flared and the Jews revolted. They were soon crushed. Many Jewish towns were destroyed and decrees issued against the local authorities and against Judaism. The privileges of the head of the Sanhedrin and the freedoms of the Sanhedrin itself were curtailed. Roman pressure to conform “Jewish” TIME to Roman TIME had reached crisis level. ibid

Under this pressure Hillel II agreed to limit the functions of the head of the Sanhedrin, as well as the Sanhedrin itself, with respect to proclaiming the New Moon, setting festival dates, and employing intercalation [inserting the 13^th lunar month]. With the decline of the Jewish power-base in Israel, the Jewish community in Babylon had been rising in influence to fill the vacuum. Hillel II published details informing all Jews of the methods of the [new] calculated calendar developed in Babylon. From that time on the Sanhedrin in Judea ceased to function or to maintain calendar experts. Hillel II is thus given the credit for the present fixed Rabbinical calendar, but in reality it originated in Babylon and was just the starting point of the development of the Rabbinical calendar in use today.” Encyclopedia Judaica, s.v. “Hillel”.

As a result, it is impossible to use the Talmud (compilation of Pharisaism’s oral traditions) to prove that the principles of the astro-lunar-solar calendar (with its full New Moon and lunar Sabbaths) are false. The modern Jewish calendar is a Babylonian corruption of the Creator’s original and is today an altered version of its once pure and undefiled time-measuring model of creation. Fourth Day of Creation

On the fourth day of creation, the Eternal Master Designer created Earth’s sun to rule alone by day to measure hours as it cast its shadow upon a sundial. But He created the full moon to measure the passage of all time units in the shamayim for years, months, weeks, days, and specific lunar appointed Feast dates. It was designed to rule all night as a brilliant Selene moon (G#4582) against the backdrop of the starry constellations of the Mazzeroth. On this ruling night, the sun was to be in opposition and nowhere to be found. The full moon alone marked the ruling constellation as it arose in the east, beginning in spring on the true Rosh Hashanah (Exodus 12:1-3, 6). This grand LIGHT display counted all lunar months, lunar weeks, and demarcation of days. Every day that has ever occurred on Earth is marked with a specific lunar phase from 1 to 29 or 30, numbered from one full New Moon to another. Refer to the article, The Fourth Day of Creation.

Just as the Tree of Life was placed in the garden, fully endowed with fruit on the third day, all of creation was created in its complete form and with apparent age. Nothing was created as seeds, eggs, or babies. Likewise, on the fourth day, the celestial bodies were created and placed in their precise positions in the shamayim (heavens), reflecting, by their positions, the passage of the first three recorded days of creation. Therefore, the beginning of earth’s first year, month, week, and days were all synchronized, as a clock would be, according to the progression of time from His ordained full New Moon at His very seat of power. Earth was never intended to operate on an independent time system from that of the Creator’s throne and the entire universe. This was the missing puzzle piece in the Genesis account of the week. It was Yahuah’s full New Moon, from His very throne room, that set the count for years, months, weeks, and days upon the earth and NOT the other way around.

Consider what would happen if every clockmaker set his new creation to 12:00 A.M. as its own changeless beginning. That would create utter chaos. This is why every clock/watch is set to a preset standard that is already running. Is a new clock perfect? Does it set the standard of time, or does it reflect time already in progress?

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am YAHUAH who sanctifies them. YAHchezqEL (Ezekiel) 20:12

Here we have it on competent authority that Yahuah gave humankind His own Sabbaths that have perpetually existed every seventh day in all eternity past, measured from one New Moon to another. Refer to the article, The Fourth Day of Creation.

Now Genesis can be harmonized with the remainder of the Scriptures. A Case for the Lunar Sabbath.

As in any widespread covert operation or lie, there is never an end to the cover-up, as the end result is believed to justify the means. What began with the Babylonian Pharisees two thousand years ago has continued on to this very day among the Rabbinical Yahudim (Jews). Perhaps it is because the Talmudic lies and cover-ups have continued so long and so consistently that it has come to appear they bear the truth. For the purpose of this article, I only want to focus on the current elements of time-keeping that have been held as historical fact and truth by the modern Rabbinical Pharisee Yahudim and those who cling to some of their principles. Is it a stretch to reclaim Yahuah Alahim’s time-measuring principles as founded upon the sure word of Scripture? All points must be weighed in the balance to reveal the truth and expose the false theories and customs for what they are.

Historically, when Israel was disobedient to Yahuah, He sent them into captivity. This was their punishment, and the curse was in losing sight of their oracles of truth and time-keeping system. In no time, they lost track of His original and authentic New Moons and could not accurately place the true Sabbaths nor any of the annual set-apart Feast Days.

Roman Calendar Captivity

Coming out of Egypt and later Babylon, it was only under divine guidance that all things were accurately restored to Yasharal (Israel). But no record of a divine restoration has ever been recovered in the aftermath of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in A.D. 70 and the long years of Roman captivity. During this period of time, Rome aggressively sought to stamp out all things Jewish, from the Scriptural laws to the sacred astro-luni-solar calendar. Might this last recorded captivity of Israel mark the fulfillment of Hosea 2:11 and Lamentations 2:5-7? Refer to the article, Creed of Constantinople Church.

I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her Feast Days, her New Moons, her Sabbaths: All her [lunar] appointed Feasts. Hosea 2:11

Yahuah was like an enemy. He has swallowed up Yasharal (Israel), He has swallowed up all her palaces; He has destroyed her strongholds, and has increased mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah. He has done violence to His tabernacle, as if it were a garden; He has destroyed His place of assembly; Yahuah has caused the appointed Feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion. In His burning indignation He has spurned the malek (king) and the Kohen (priest). Lamentations 2:5-7

It was because of Yasharal’s (Israel’s) disobedience and whoring after the customs of the surrounding pagan nations, mixing truth with error, that Yahuah removed the oracles of TRUTH from them altogether. He also caused them to go into captivity first in Egypt and then in Babylon. But after a time, they repented, and Yahuah restored them to their land and to the oracles of TRUTH. But this has never occurred following A.D. 70 and their Roman captivity.

Beginning in the 2nd century A.D., the Great Easter Controversy commenced and lasted nearly 200 years. At that time, both the Jews and the followers of the Messiah were coerced under pressure to give up their unique calendar that located all sacred Feast Days and Sabbaths as counted from the full New Moon, His original start of years and months. Yet it was the early followers of Messiah (Natsarim) that were dubbed the Quartodecimen (Fourteeners) who continued to reckon Passover and the Crucifixion upon the 14th day of the New Moon in harmony with the Torah Law and ancient Jews when faithful.

The rub came when Rome required all citizens in her extensive realm, both east and west, to celebrate Easter (Resurrection Day) upon the same day of their own choosing. Thus, an edict by Victor, Bishop of Rome, proclaimed that Easter must be celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox of their Julian Roman calendar model. This was to ensure that Easter would NEVER occur upon the true Passover and its “Jewish” astro-luni-solar calendar, although this calendar was ordained by the Creator to be utilized by all the obedient followers of Earth and not merely the Israelites. It is no secret that until 45 B.C., even the Romans used the luni-solar calendar. But did you notice that for the Romans to ensure that their “Easter” never fell on the Yahudim (Jewish) Passover, they too had to utilize the astro-luni-solar calendar to place it in such a way that it could not overlap in any way the true Scriptural Passover?

The faithful Yahudim (Jews) kept Passover as the 14th day counted from the full New Moon as a sign of their deliverance from Egypt. In addition, the followers of the Messiah (the Natsarim or Quartodecimen) refused to change this same time-reckoning for Passover, as they recognized it as the embodiment and time-centric prophetic fulfillment of the ancient Torah Passover, only found in this unique way (Levi. 23:5). Strikingly, it was the consistency of the astro-luni-solar calendar that confirmed Yahusha as the long promised Messiah, the Lamb, the Redeemer, and Restorer of humanity unto their eternal reward.

Thus, the faithful Natsarim (Quartodecimen) from the Roman East refused to comply with Roman dogma to adopt the new Roman week. But by the 4th century A.D., at the Council of Nicaea, Constantine the Great set forth a decree that all must comply or die. Many complied under pressure, but numerous died for the truth as they knew their Messiah was both the promise and the fulfillment of the Passover typology, counted as the 14th day from the first full New Moon nearest the feet of Bethulah (Virgo). This is supported by Josephus, who writes about the sun being in the constellation Aries in the middle of the first lunar month.

With the moon entirely divorced from the Roman time-measuring machine, its multifaceted purpose was forgotten as Rome waged war against its adherents. Thus, it was by this method that the ancient calendar, astro-luni-solar time-keeping, was stricken from the minds of the people as they were forced to comply with Rome’s artificial planetary wall calendar along with its weeks that cycled without end. But notwithstanding the decision of the council [of Nicaea] there were some Quartodecimen, as they were termed, who remained pertinaciously attached to the celebration of Easter [Passover] on the fourteenth of the moon, and among others the Audeans, schismatics of Mesopotamia. They found fault with the council, reproachfully remarking, that this was the first time that the ancient tradition [of properly locating Passover by the moon], through complaisance for Constantine, had been departed from. Ecclesiastical History, Eusebius, Chapter 22 Council of Nicaea.

It should come as no surprise that the lunar time-measuring issue of those early days will be repeated in the end times as Roman powers seek once again to stamp out and destroy from the face of the earth all the modern Quartodecimen (Fourteener) schismatics. These are they who calculate Passover as the fourteenth day from Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) in the spring. It is the full New Moon in the lunar month of Aviv, which sets the bar and count for all other lunar placed Feast Days and Sabbaths. Who then shall stand on that day and obey the divine laws of our Creator and Savior?

Adopted Babylonian and Roman Time-Measuring Principles

We have all been led to believe that whatever the Yahudim (Jews) believe today, with regards to time-keeping and worship, must be accurate because of their once having held the oracles of truth. But is this actually the case? Can we trust that what they believe now is the same as what they thought and lived by when Yahusha, our Messiah, walked the earth and ministered?

I want to suggest that Yasharal (Israel) (as a people/nation) remain in captivity today along with most of the civilized world for the very reason that they remain under the umbrella domain of Roman/Babylonian calendation and wholly out of sync with their Creator. They continue to go wrong with locating all of the divine units of time measurement. These were ordained at creation to be beaconed by the visible ruling sun, the visible ruling moon together with the visible ruling stars by night, as they shine along the east-west time continuum. (Genesis 1:16). Let’s examine the evidence.

New Year’s Day – Today, the Jews/Israelites place Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) on the Feast of Trumpets (a dark conjunction lunar phase), the first day of the seventh lunar month. In this way, they align their calendar with the ancient Babylonians in the fall. Yet, before leaving Egypt, Yahuah restored His sacred calendar of creation to Moses fourteen days before the first Passover in the spring and one whole year to the very day before the Wilderness Tabernacle was first erected and ordained. This means that His authentic and original time-measuring model was ordained to commence in the spring and not the fall. Also, these restored lunar calendar principles were not only for the purpose of governing the Temple festivals but for all-time measuring among those who love Him and seek obedience. One calendar, one honest weight, and measure.

Strikingly, Yahuah ordained that Rosh Hashanah was to be on Aviv 1, a full six months earlier than the Babylonians and modern Jews, in the spring. The following verse identifies New Year’s Day as 14 days before Passover. Notice in this verse the use of the highlighted words Rosh Hashanah, which literally means first of the year or New Year’s Day. (Exodus 12:1-6) Refer to the article, Twelve or Thirteen Months.

And declared Yahuah unto Moses and unto Aaron, while in the land of Egypt, commanding that: “The New Moon, ‘this one’ is the beginning (H#7218 – ROSH – first, head) of the lunar months. It is first in order according to the lunar months for the revolution of a year (H#8141 – HASHANAH – year, revolution of time).” You shall keep and teach this to all the congregation of Israel saying, “in the tenth of the lunar month, do the following: And you shall reserve and keep every man a lamb for each household of the father, a lamb for each house. . . . And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same lunar month, and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.” Exodus 12:1-3, 6 (Years are to be Divided by Lunar Months.)

Sunrise or Sunset, When Does the Day Begin? – While the Romans begin their day at midnight, the Jews/Israelites commence their “day” (which means “light”) at sunset. How is it they overlook the statements in Genesis 1:1-5, where Alahim separated the darkness from the light, calling the “light” “day” and the “darkness” he called “night.” Understandably, there is a bit of confusion about the word “day” as it is used interchangeably in Genesis to refer to the 12 hours of daylight and the 24-hour calendar date. Length of a Day – The length of the “day” is resolved in John 11:9 as 12 hours from sunrise to sunset, as declared by Yahusha the Messiah in harmony with Genesis 1:1-5. Since the Jews don’t accept Yahusha as the Messiah, nor do they regard the Renewed Covenant (N.T.), they are not able to utilize this evidence. But we can. Refer to the article, A Day in Genesis.
Length of a Civil Calendar Date—The 24-hour civil calendar is measured from sunrise to sunrise and not sunset to sunset by a single rotation of the earth beginning with the daylight followed by the night.
The Kadosh Feast Days and the Menorah – It appears that the Menorah is the GOLD STANDARD of time’s cosmic themes as it relates to the Temple and the Kadosh Feast Day layout orienting the movement of the sun, moon, and stars time-measuring from east to west. The Menorah may have been the first planetarium orrery designed to show the fixed lunar phase placements of Yahuah’s prescribed Feast Day schedule. The Menorah, The Aleph, and Tav of Fixed Time.
Sacred Hours of the New Moon and Sabbath – We also believe that the sacred hours of the New Moon Day and Sabbath commence at sunrise and terminate at sunset. However, the Jews, because they reject the Brit Hadasha (N.T.), are not able to utilize what the Messiah said about the “day,” being only a period of twelve hours of “daylight” (John 11:9) and thus, not any part of the “night.” Refer to Scripture study in Genesis 1:1-5, When the Day Begins. The True Seventh-Day Sabbath – In A.D. 358, Sanhedrin Patriarch Hillel II, motivated by the onslaught of continued Jewish persecution, sold out the Jews when he ultimately determined to provide an authorized mathematically-based calendar for all time to come that would be in harmony with Rome and yet appear on the surface to link them with their astro-luni-solar roots from creation… Thus, the Jews swapped the Scriptural lunar Sabbaths for the popularized Roman unbroken cycle of seven-day weeks. This caused their new Sabbaths to cycle without end, falling on the true Sabbath only occasionally. It was no longer in sync with the New Moons and all of the other sacred appointed Feast Days. Their Sabbaths can no longer be found as beaconed “from one New Moon to another,” but are fixed upon the artificial Roman paper wall calendars (Isaiah 66:23). Does this not present a continued tie between the Jewish leaders and Rome, not dissimilar to the cover-up and lies after the crucifixion of the Messiah. This dual calendar system necessitated an intermediate tool to harmonize the now dual opposing time-measuring methods.

“Julius Caesar’s conquest of Egypt in the 1st century BC introduced this planetary week to the Roman Empire… Since the astrological and Jewish [lunar] weeks were both seven days long, by the 1st century AD the day of Saturn had become identified with the Jewish Sabbath. Ezekiel 46:1, together with Leviticus 23 and Isaiah 66:23, hold the key to Yahuah’s original calendar week, as together, these cannot be manipulated to harmonize with the fixed Roman calendar and its continuous weekly seven-day cycle. The distinguishing factor of Yahuah’s true Sabbath is that it can only be found by counting from the New Moon. Refer to the article, New Moon by New Moon You Shall Keep.
The True New Moon – The Rabbinical Pharisee Jews have kept a dark conjunction New Moon tradition for nearly 1,700 years, which evidently took root when Hillel II changed their method of calendation forever. Along with the addition of the Karaites and many crescent New Moon believers today, the primary foundation for the dark or crescent New Moon is founded upon a single verse in Psalms 81:3. However, the desired meaning of this verse cannot be substantiated within itself, nor can it be supported by the required two or three Scripture witnesses. The order of the English words has been manipulated to make it appear the New Moon and the Full Moon are separate lunar events. In the Scripture study of Psalms 81:3 below, note the correct interlinear order of the words. Read more on Psalms 81:3.

You shall blow (תקע ו ) – with the New Moon ( ב חדשׁ ) – shofar (שׁופר ) – in the full moon ( ב כסה) –

for the day ( ל יום) – of our feast ( חג נו ).

Evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls

An article by William Doehring, written for Examiner.com, entitled Christianity Shrouded by a Solar Eclipse, supports this view. The Dead Sea Scrolls reveal that the ancient Hebrew New Moon was the full moon.

The author, quoting James Vanderkam, in his book, Calendars in the Dead Sea Scrolls, suggests that the Qumran community proactively sought to protect the original full New Moon as it was condemned to change.

Because they continue with the cover-up, they are not interested in the truth and do not recognize Yahusha as the promised Messiah. As a result, they cannot utilize the Brit Hadasha (N.T.) verses that show that He is the fulfillment of the TORAH Law and the time-centric requirements of the astro-luni-solar calendar so well portrayed in the Tabernacle/Temple system, with its true and original full moon beacon. They are also unable to employ any of the full New Moon identifiers mentioned in the (N.T.), so they are doomed to continue on the pathway of darkness. They and their followers persist in keeping all the Feast Days according to erroneous dark conjunction or crescent New Moon tradition and, thus, on the wrong days.

Simply because the Jews have based their dark or crescent New Moon beliefs upon a rearrangement of words in Psalms 81:3 for 1,700 years does not mean they are in harmony with the Torah/Scripture. A lie cannot become right simply because it is well hidden, traditionalized, or repeated for nearly 2,000 years.

Only One Reference to the Crescent Moon

Depending upon which English translation you utilize, you will find that Judges 8:21, 26 refers either to round gold ornaments worn around the necks of camels or the shape of a crescent. I believe this verse referred to the crescent shape representing the deity moon god “Sin,” worshiped by Babylon and other pagan nations. You will find these same results in a Hebrew lexicon or concordance.

Not One Reference to the Dark Conjunction Lunar Phase

The Almighty Father has never called for blind trust. Yet, there are those who would have us believe the most significant lunar phase, which beacons the spring Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day – Exodus 12:1-6), New Month, and all the Kadosh Feast Days and Sabbaths, is itself not described even once in all of Scripture.

As obedient seekers of truth, ever gaining knowledge, we must be sure that we do not walk out the front door of the common errors of the house of Roman Christendom only to return again via the back door of the ancient Babylonian deception. Yet, this is what so many of us have done. We walked out and closed the door on Sunday sacredness or a Saturday Sabbath but opened the back door and re-entered the HOUSE OF HORRORS (ERRORS) by accepting a dark or crescent New Moon. All the while believing this to be the correct way to determine when Yahuah’s years, lunar months, or true lunar Sabbaths are to be observed.

Calendar Conflict in Synchronizing the Heavens with Earth

It became apparent while making calendars for www.TheCreatorsCalendar.com website over a period of two years (2010-2012) that there was an inherent flaw in the first visible crescent (FVC) New Moon theory. Today, Modern Jews declare that the dark conjunction and/or the crescent lunar phase was always announced from the Temple by the Kohen (Priest). And since there is no temple, there is no assurance of a true announcement, so the reason the modern Jews keep two days in a row as New Moon is to ensure they get one of them right. The problem is that if the first day of the year in spring is off by a day, the entire Feast Day arrangement will be off. While the Karaites feel the first visible crescent (FVC) New Moon must be announced each month from Jerusalem, others believe that it comes to us, wherever we are, on a round world month by month. These views come with unique problems if one believes the dark or crescent lunar phase is the real New Moon.

Problematic Theories

Announced from Jerusalem: If the dark or FVC New Moon is to be proclaimed only in Jerusalem, those who witness it in South Africa, of the Southern Hemisphere, twenty-three hours previously on occasion, must disregard it entirely until they receive the announcement from their Jewish brothers in Jerusalem. However, just as recently as 150 years ago, Jerusalem would not have been able to declare the commencement of the lunar month to the whole world in an accurate or timely manner. Therefore, one must recognize the inconsistency between what can be accomplished today via the internet and telephone and Jerusalem’s announcement of the New Moon in the past. This was, in actuality, not possible in antiquity.

Using logic, our Creator designed the full moon alone to make its own announcement with its visible appearance in the shamayim (heavens), where all may equally observe it. The moon is a time-reckoning instrument that can only function accurately when present and visible in any of Earth’s 24 primary time zones.

A predetermined static dateline: A stationary dateline can no more be established in Yarushalom (Jerusalem) than a permanent, yet arbitrary, dateline can be placed in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is because the instrument our Creator has ordained to signal His new months and demarcate each calendar date from the next is His perpetually revolving full New Moon and its 29-30 lunar phases in the sky.

Each month, the Creator’s Lunar International Dateline (CLID) comes to us in an entirely new location along the ecliptic path. In other words, the CLID is mobile because the earth, the sun, the constellations, and the moon are all mobile. The CLID remains in one marked location for a full lunar month, after which time, a refreshed full New Moon is witnessed in an altogether different location in the night sky as it moves succinctly in orbit around the earth.

Crescent New Moon Paradox with two Hemispheres: Those of us who have believed that the FVC as the New Moon comes to us on a spherical world have an altogether different problem. This problem is that the FVC, being so slim a band of light, cannot be seen in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres in summer and winter in the same 24-hour rotation of the earth. During the winter of the Northern Hemisphere, South Africa and Australia will lag behind a visual sighting of the FVC by more than a full 24-hour day rotation of the earth, which is reversed in the summer. While this has been recognized by those of us who display calendars on our websites, we have opted to handle this problem in different ways:

At the time while we believed and followed the FVC as the true New Moon, we (TheCreatorsCalendar.com) defined in detail the location where the FVC would occur on earth visibly so that folks could know via the Internet when to expect it, and whether or not it would be visible in their hemisphere or not. This has always been a problem for the sheer fact that people expect to see, with their own eyes, the first visible crescent themselves, which they should be able to do in order to verify which day is New Moon Day. As a result of this very problem, some have even opted to use the second visible crescent of the month as their New Moon, simply because it is visible to all. Yet, it is still the first visible crescent to some and second visible crescent to others, remaining inconsistent. Also, one must question, what authority designates either the first visible crescent or the second day crescent as the New Moon. As there is nothing written in Scripture that states anything regarding the FVC as the true New Moon.

Other websites that post calendars have opted to allow a separate FVC for both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere for summer and winter, as spring and fall are not a problem. As a result, there are consistently in summer and winter two days of FVC New Moon days back to back, this means that there are consistently two full rotations of the earth to accommodate both hemispheres. Likewise, there are two 24 hour periods allotted for the seventh-day Sabbath back to back each week. This adds up to 48 hours of continuous Sabbath-keeping. Which should cause one to question how this would fit into our Creator, Yahuah Alahim’s/Elohim’s set-apart Sabbath Day at His very seat of power. Most people will never recognize this calendar flaw unless they compare the dates given for the FVC New Moon in the Northern Hemisphere with those of the Southern Hemisphere.

Reality Check

At the time of creation, our loving Father synchronized earth with the time-keeping of His throne at His very seat of power via His eternal astro-luni-solar timepiece. He gave us His New Moon and His Sabbath as a sign that we worship the true Creator (Ezekiel 20:12, Ezekiel 46:1). There has always been a moon in the New Yarushalom (Jerusalem) to regulate time (Revelation 22:2). The earth was designed to make only one 24-hour rotation per workday and only one 24-hour rotation per seventh-day Sabbath. Therefore, there is only one DAYLIGHT each week upon which our Creator collectively receives formal worship from all His created beings.

His Sabbath above is precisely the length of time it takes to give everyone on earth a 12-hour Sabbath, no shorter and no longer. The designation by some lunar calendars of two 24-hour periods for each New Moon day and each Sabbath should be a red flag that there is a problem with time-reckoning. For Yahuah gave us His Sabbath that humankind may be synchronized with Him in sacred worship for His seventh-day Sabbath.

Stunningly, when the full moon is utilized as the Creator’s original New Moon, these problems simply vanish because the full moon, when it arises in the east, is seen by everyone, whether in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, as the Earth makes one complete rotation. The only exception is the folks living in Alaska, Siberia, Greenland, Southern Chile, and Argentina, who, by default, must make astronomical allowances.

The reason these are such outrageous problems is that they compromise the truth at the very time our loving Father is revealing it. The entire purpose of His preordained celestial timepiece is to synchronize Earth with the worship rhythms of His own dwelling place. So, it appears that inadvertently, man has created, or at the minimum, responded to another roadblock and detour. However, there is a confident expectation for those who diligently seek truth and a bright light at the end of the dark tunnel of deep-rooted erroneous customs and traditions.

We must contend for the truth as Yahuah continues to shed light on His Kadosh (sacred) and unique time-measuring mechanism. The long-standing conflict has served to keep us humble as we continued to seek answers by looking to the FATHER OF LIGHTS (James 1:17).

New Moon and Pure Light

While under the Roman Gregorian delusion for 50 years, I was ever seeking to be obedient to the principles of a seventh-day Sabbath as it fit my known Saturday paradigm criteria. Likewise, I can do no less with the original and authentic full New Moon and lunar Sabbath restored principles. It must fit all the known criteria, including its relation to LIGHT, as it is a significant sign of His chosen lunar beacon. It is His trustworthy witness in the sky (Psalms 89:37), locating the true and set-apart lunar Sabbath and all the set-apart Feast Days.

“He ordained the MOON for ~~SEASONS~~ (#4150 – mo’edim – specific lunar appointed dates); the brilliant rays of the SUN reveal and endue it, making known its entrance [in the east].” Psalms 104:19 [This explains what governs the time-element of “SEASONS and/or FEAST DAYS” in Genesis 1:14 and Leviticus 23:2-4.]

It was overtly apparent from the beginning that the occulted dark moon could never qualify as the true new moon for the physical and spiritual facts that there was NO LIGHT in it (Isaiah 50:10; 1 John 1:5). It was clear to me by the sheer volume of Scripture verses that whatever lunar phase was the New Moon, of necessity, it must contain LIGHT. The verses below declare LIGHT as the key for each ordained and ruling luminary. According to James 1:17, this would be pure LIGHT, with no portion of darkness in them. This would include His ordained full New Moon.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom/which there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17

Just as the sun rules from east to west by day and the stars from east to west by night, so too the authentic and ordained lunar phase must rule from east to west, together with the stars by night, when the sun is not present.

When ruling one night only each New Year in spring, it announces the real New Year’s Day (Rosh Hashanah). One night only, each month announces the New Moon Day (Rosh Chodesh) to begin the following morning at sunrise as the chief or head of the lunar month. Strikingly, it is the full moon alone that meets all the Scriptural criteria as it arises in the east at sunset. Without rival, it journeys across the night sky along the east-west time continuum. It reflects the marvelous LIGHT of the sun just as our Messiah reflects the light and truth of His Father to this dark world. The Yahudim (Jews) can’t utilize this fact as they do not recognize the Messiah has come.

Full Moon to Rule with the Stars by Night

Compare Genesis 1:16 with other support verses that identify the ruling New Moon as ruling together with the stars by night when the sun is absent and not the dark moon as ruling with the stars by daylight when neither are visible.

And Alahim said, Let there be LIGHTS in the firmament of the shamayim to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, for days, and years: And let them be for LIGHTS in the firmament of the shamayim to give LIGHT upon the earth: and it was so. And Alahim made two great LIGHTS; the greater LIGHT to rule the day, and the lesser LIGHT to rule the night~~: he made~~ together with the stars ~~also~~. Genesis 1:14-17

Yahusha (the Messiah) said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14:9-11

The moon and stars to rule the night, for His mercy endures forever. Psalms 136:9

But the path of the just is as the shining LIGHT, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18

The loud cry is going forth; our Messiah is calling His humble, obedient full circle from creation, out of the darkness of this world, with its false theories and beliefs, back into His marvelous pure LIGHT OF TRUTH.

Opposing Lunar Phases in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres

In the same way that a child can be caught in a lie when they return from the market with a candy bar in their right hand and the same dollar bill in their pocket, so too, the fabrication of the popular New Moon can be exposed from the extenuating circumstances exhibited in the opposing lunar phases displayed between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

The shamayim (heavens) do not lie. In fact, we are told that the moon is a trustworthy witness in the sky (Psalms 89:37). A logical question to ask is: “Was the moon only to be a trusty witness to the Northern Hemisphere where the Jews were living in the 4th century?” The crescent (the designated New Moon) by the Karaite Jews is reversed and utterly opposite in appearance in the Southern Hemisphere. All the lunar phases have a reverse presence in the Southern Hemisphere. So how can the crescent moon or dark invisible lunar phases bring harmony between earth and heaven?

Do not give heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth. To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know Yahuah, but in works they deny Him being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. Titus 1:14-16

There are only two lunar phases that consistently and harmoniously occur for both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. These are the full moon and the dark conjunction lunar phase. Each of the other phases is precisely opposite of the other, as in a mirrored image, as they occur night for night and day for day.

Remarkable as this is, while two lunar phases occur consistently for both hemispheres, there is only one singular shape, a solitary lunar phase that is both VISIBLE and WHOLE at the same time. Ironically it is the only lunar phase saturated in the full marvelous light of the sun, as it arises in the east and sets in the west.

It is imperative to our Eternal Father that His trustworthy followers worship Him in unity according to the LIGHTS that He set forth in the shamayim (heavens) for that purpose. In His compassion, He would naturally set His New Moon signal to be both CONSISTENT AND VISIBLE in all localities around the world, as well as having the same appearance from the north or south.

Time itself can be categorized in two ways: “Legitimate” and “illegitimate.” Legitimate time, according to Scripture, is defined by the pure and perfect visible LIGHTS, bearing no shadow of a turning orbit (Genesis 1:14, James 1:17). Illegitimate time can be defined by any witty invention deemed suitable and agreed upon by rebellious-hearted humanity. These include:

Commencing the year in winter, or according to an opposite New Moon lunar phase in spring, or eliminating the Creator’s New Moon altogether.

Months signaled by a Scripturally erroneous dark lunar phase or crescent after the vernal equinox, 14-15 days out of sync.

Weeks that cycle without end and are proactively divorced from all the rhythms of the sun, moon, and stars and named after planetary gods.

Days, clarified as daylights ruled by the greater light (the name for the light part of the day in Genesis 1:1-5) that begin at midnight or sunset.

Might there be a recognizable pattern of rebellion here, a need for humankind to set their own standards, rules, and laws outside the parameters of their Creator?

Why, then, would we think it safe to follow any single unit of time as set forth by the modern Jews or Romans, for that matter, from the 4th century A.D. until now?

The Trustworthy Witness and New Moon Storyboard

The Sabbath holds a prophetic place among the Feast Days and a storyline of remembrance. It represents a predetermined probation timeline (on a day-for-a-thousand-year format) identifying that sin on earth will not surpass 6,000 years, with a 1,000-year Sabbath rest awaiting the trusting and obedient followers of Yahuah as a time of healing. Every Sabbath day of rest is a perpetual reminder and sign of trust that Yahuah’s set-apart prophetically anticipated future (day for a thousand years) prophecy fulfillment will commence at the Second Coming and beyond the grave.

In like manner, the actual full New Moon delivers a compelling storyline of both remembrances and of a confident expectation every lunation cycle (one lunar month). But only one lunar phase can tell the whole story from the beginning. This was when all things were pure and righteous, as the head or chief lunar phase, Rosh Chodesh. Then, it comes full circle to completely restoring the same perfect LIGHT OF TRUTH.
Only one lunar phase can symbolically make the circuit from perfection in light at Creation and traverse through the downward spiral into sin and darkness as humanity turned its back on its Creator. Only one lunar cycle will illustrate in its middle section the complete darkness present in the hearts of the antediluvian people at the time of the flood and the promise of a confident expectation through the seed of Noah and later Abraham. This promise of restoration was to be fulfilled in the life and sacrificial death of Yahusha, the Messiah, bringing light and an eternally bright future to a sin-darkened world.

A pathway through humble confession, forgiveness, and obedience was laid so that Yahuah-trusting truth seekers could find their way back into a complete restoration through the REMEDY provided by the seven-part atoning work of the Messiah. The purpose of the second coming is to reward the faithful by restoring them physically back face to face with their loving Father so that they may walk in the fullness of light for all eternity. Thus, the moon is the trustworthy witness in the sky, declaring both the history of humanity and the story of redemption unto righteousness, pure and undefiled.

And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the morally upright. Revelation 19:8-9

Ellen White and the First Visible Crescent New Moon

For myself, as well as many other folks who have come out of the Adventist Church and out of keeping a Roman Saturday as a replacement for the authentic Sabbath, I had also believed that Ellen White was a modern prophetess and that her writings were inspired. This, I no longer believe.

Although beautiful, often true, and perhaps sincere, I have discovered that what she has written is no more inspired than when you or I study something diligently and then sincerely believe it to be true. In her day, it was based on the best evidence available. No matter how beautifully written her hired writers and editors have made her published materials, it cannot be taken as divine inspiration or revelation.

To her credit, she acknowledges in the quote below that her ideas are not infallible. YET, IF SHE WERE A PROPHET, THEY WOULD BE!!! Not one of the prophets of Scripture, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Micah, John the Baptist, or John the Revelator, ever made such a statement. If they had, it would have been a sure sign they were not a prophet of Yahuah Alahim/Elohim. Scripture outlines the requirements of a true prophet, one of which is that they will be 100% accurate 100% of the time with prophecies given in advance. For more on what constitutes a true prophet. There is no excuse for anyone in taking the position that there is no more truth to be revealed, and that all our expositions of Scripture are without an error. The fact that certain doctrines have been held as truth for many years by our people, is not a proof that our ideas are infallible. Age will not make error into truth, and truth can afford to be fair. No true doctrine will lose anything by close investigation. Councils to Writers and Editors, p. 35.

Ellen White believed the New Moon was the first visible crescent lunar phase. It is because I had believed Ellen White so thoroughly that I could not see the light of truth regarding the full moon for several years. Only after much research and prayer did I discover otherwise that the full moon was the true Rosh Chodesh and chief cornerstone of the month and year, as it is defined in many ways and places throughout Scripture, as specified at the top of this article. Several statements are made within her writings that support a luni-solar reckoning of time. Here are a few examples:

Acknowledgment that the crucifixion occurred on the Passover, the sixth day of the week and the 14th day of the lunar month. Great Controversy, p. 399.

Confirmation that the Passover was observed nationally the night the Savior lay at rest in Joseph’s tomb. Desire of Ages, p. 775.

Recognition of the latter rain link to the spring barley harvest beginning of the year. From Trials to Triumph, p. 30.

While it is true that there are some references to “Friday and Saturday” in her writings, no such terminology can be found in Scripture in either name or rhythm. Furthermore, it is a historically documented fact that the seven-day planetary week in use today did not enter the Julian calendar until nearly 300 years after the death of our Messiah. “It should be noted that the oldest dated Christian inscription to employ a planetary designation [Sunday – Saturday, as an unbroken cycle of weeks] belongs to the year 269 A.D.” Inscriptiones Christianae urbis Romae, ed. De Rossi, 1861, i, No. 1.

William Miller, Ellen White, and 1844

The earliest held New Moon supposition of Ellen White is in reference to William Miller and the Great Disappointment of October 22, 1844. After several misses, he taught that the fulfillment of the 2,300-day prophecy of Daniel 8:14 would culminate with the Second Coming of the Messiah on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) that year. The Millerites had adopted the Karaite method of reckoning luni-solar time for locating the Day of Atonement, which was, according to the first visible crescent (FVC) New Moon.

The Millerites correctly recognized that the Hebrew calendar was lunar but mistakenly applied the assumed crescent New Moon to predict the equally assumed Second Coming of the Messiah on the Day of Atonement. In 1844, they identified the Day of Atonement in the seventh Hebrew lunar month. However, there is no scriptural evidence confirming the Karaite’s crescent lunar phase as the authentic New Moon, undermining Ellen White’s endorsement. Consequently, the modern Seventh-day Adventist belief that the 2,300-day prophecy was indeed fulfilled on that Day of Atonement of October 22, 1844, is fundamentally flawed in terms of both timing and event.

On the contrary, the 2,300-day prophecy of Daniel 8:14 defines itself as a “day for a day” and NOT a day for a year prophecy. It specifically states in detail, “unto 2,300 evenings and mornings.” All other day-for-a-year-prophecies do not contain these descriptive boundary “evening and morning” identifiers.

If such an anti-typical Day of Atonement was indeed launched in 1844, the way into the Kadosh Place (Holy Place) of the heavenly Temple would today be forever barred, and the work there ended with no forgiveness available from that moment on. Why? This is how both the Tanakh (O.T.) and the Brit Hadasha (N.T.) portray the Day of Atonement as a SINGLE DAY EVENT. All the Feast Days are time prophecies of the work of one person, our Messiah and Savior. The Feast Days identify each time-centric event He is doing as He moves from one ministration event to another, in the Temple not made with hands, in His grand work of SALVATION. He NEVER does two ministry works simultaneously, as represented by each appointed Feast Day. When each ministry is completed, He moves on to the next one on its specific lunar appointed date (H#4150 – mo’edim). Each is a vital and designated step in the process of restoring humanity back to the Father and His righteous standard.

When the Day of Atonement commences in both typology and anti-type, the High Kohen (representing the Messiah) removes his outer garments, wearing only the white linen undergarments, illustrating that He cannot do two ministries simultaneously. For his garments, identify the work he is doing. When one ends, the next one begins until all is finished.

When the yearly Day of Atonement commenced, the High Kohen (Priest) sacrificed a bull and a ram for a sin offering and a goat for himself. Then he took the goat’s blood into the Most Kadosh (Holy) place and sprinkled it upon the seat of compassion (Mercy Seat) of the Ark of the Covenant. On all other days, the blood of lambs is sprinkled upon the altar of incense and upon the curtain that separates the Kadosh Place from the Most Kadosh Place.

On this day alone, he does not carry the smoking censor, representing the prayers of the righteous who humbly come for forgiveness. This is because, on the Day of Atonement, all sins must have been previously forgiven. This day symbolizes the day that all who are righteous will remain righteous, and all those who are unrighteous will remain so. There is no more forgiveness of sin on this final Day of Atonement. Instead, there is a cleansing of all previously forgiven sin from its containment upon the seat of the Kadosh (Holy) Ark of the Covenant of the Almighty Father’s seat of power. Each year until that final fulfillment in the temple above, Yahuah’s trusting and obedient followers rehearse this annual event because He has asked us to honor Him this way. It shows Him who His faithful followers are and keeps His Plan of Salvation Blueprint, His only REMEDY for SIN, ever before them.
The mere fact that you and I are still in need of forgiveness today, humbly submitting before Yahuah’s seat of compassion (Mercy Seat) to receive it, is ample evidence that the fulfillment of the Day of Atonement did NOT occur in 1844 and is a yet-to-be-determined future event. The weight of evidence indicates that it is destined to be prophetically fulfilled according to a day-for-a-day principle. Meaning that it is a 12-hour day event at the end of a pre-appointed period of 2,300 literal days at the very end of time on earth.
There is no evidence in Scripture connected to the time-centric Feast Days that also supports the view of a time period that Seventh-day Adventists call The Investigative Judgment. This is simply a belief that a sincere group of people developed to explain away their “Great Disappointment” when the Savior did not return for them on October 22, 1844. While I once believed this scenario, Scripture simply does not supply the necessary two or three witnesses. Scripture alone must be our guide, for the world shall be judged out of it alone. When we cling to cherished beliefs that do not meet the test of Scripture, we cannot move forward when the Ruach (power and presence of Yahuah) of truth beckons us to arise and walk. Throughout Scripture, many references authenticate the full moon as New Moon in marked contrast to the absence of the legitimacy of a first visible crescent or dark conjunction lunar phase. Consequently, in addition to William Miller’s failed prophecy of the Messiah’s return, the designation of the Day of Atonement occurring on October 22, 1844, as counted from the FVC, was, at a minimum, out of sync by fifteen days. Remember, William Miller was not a prophet but a sincere man earnestly longing for the Second Coming of His Savior during his lifetime. He ultimately confessed publicly of His error. This is a man who had been a 33rd-degree Mason and before his death declared that there were “two holy books,” the “Bible” and “The Book of Muhammad,” otherwise known as the “Koran.” No doubt, you have never heard about this confession.
William Miller, in his reflections from 1844, emphasized the necessity that the 2,300-day prophecy, which was declared according to the ancient lunar time-measuring method, must conform to the same lunar method at its close. Here is what William Miller had to say:

“The year 1843 was, however, regarded as extending to the spring of 1844. The reason for this, briefly stated, is as follows: Anciently, the year did not commence in mid-winter, as now, but at the first New Moon after the Vernal Equinox. Therefore, as the period of 2,300 days was begun in a year reckoned by the ancient method, it was considered necessary to conform to that method to its close. Hence, 1843 was counted as ending in the spring, and not in the winter.” 1888 Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan, Ellen G. White, (Appendix Note 3 – Narrative of William Miller omitted by Ellen White and Willie White from the 1911 version of the same book. Also published in the Advent Herald, Boston, March 1850.)

The second point Ellen White makes that illustrates her belief that the first visible crescent moon is the New Moon in harmony with the Karaite Jewish position is with regards to the night before our Savior’s crucifixion, she states:

“In company with His disciples, the Savior slowly made His way to the garden of Gethsemane. The Passover moon, broad and full, shone from a cloudless sky. The city of pilgrims’ tents was hushed into silence.” Desire of Ages, p. 685.

While this statement creates a lovely picture of what might have been, it is not supported by a “thus says Yahuah” in Scripture. Instead, Scripture defines that a solar eclipse, the conjunction of the dark lunar phase, blocked the sun on that epic crucifixion day from the 6th to the 9th hour. It was Passover, the 14th day, counted from the New Moon, as was testified by four eyewitnesses.

Three of these testimonies are recorded in Scripture. They declared a solar eclipse on that epic day, so by extension, the moon was “broad and full” 14 days earlier. Meaning the full moon occurred on the first day of the month. Might this belief have been borne out of Ellen White’s youthful and sincere experience with the Millerite movement, in which she saw fit to follow the Karaite Jew’s view of the crescent as the New Moon? It demonstrates consistency as she remained in harmony with the Millerite view. If she were alive today, might she see the light in the full moon as New Moon? Ellen White and the Great Easter Controversy Cover-up

In 1888, the third of four printed editions of Ellen White’s book, The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan (G.C.), was published. There were 12 pages dedicated to the Appendix. Yet, in 1911, a new edition was typeset and printed with additional images and 22 pages of the Appendix. Folks at the time were up in arms about why there was a need to create a new edition of the book, which alluded to there being a flaw in the 1888 version written by their beloved prophet, Ellen White. Surely, it had been without error. The claim was then made by the Adventist Church leaders and publishing house that no significant changes had been made but declared that the only cited modifications were actually additions made to the Appendix, which increased it from 12 to 22 pages.

Recently, it has been discovered what may be the only portions removed from the 1888 edition of the (G.C.) were two pages of quotes from the historians Mosheim, Bower, and Hevlyn. From these quotes, one can trace the events of the 2nd and 3rd century Great Easter Controversy.

If only a surface reading of these quotes had been rendered, it may not have raised any questions or red flags regarding the original calendar or true Sabbath of Scripture. However, in researching any of these quotes to their source as initially recorded by Eusebius in his book Ecclesiastical History (A.D. 335), it becomes conspicuously evident there were more issues at stake in the Great Easter Controversy than first meets the eye.

It is in those early pages of antiquity that one comes face to face with the comprehensive meaning of the term Quartodecimen (Fourteeners). This is the name given by the Romans to the followers of the Messiah. These refused to celebrate Passover on any day other than the 14th day as counted from the New Moon of Scripture’s astro-luni-solar calendar. Leviticus 23 supports this view that all the Kadosh set apart Feast Days and true seventh-day Sabbaths are consistently numbered from the New Moon. This identifies that the real sacred seventh-day Sabbath of Scripture is lunar and will always be counted from one New Moon to the next. With precision, it will occur on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of each astro-luni-solar month.

This conflict of interest found in the historical quotes of the Appendix regarding the true seventh-day Sabbath of Scripture was discovered when comparing the 1888 version with that of the new 1911 version of the Great Controversy. If the Seventh-day Adventist membership had recognized this, it would have had foundationally disastrous consequences for the building up of the Seventh-day Adventist church. For, after all, their most prominent belief contained within that very book identified the modern Roman calendar “Saturday” of the ever-cycling planetary week as the true seventh-day Sabbath. It is this spurious Sabbath that stands in direct contradiction to Scripture and the historical record of the Easter Controversy, yet “Saturday” contained Ellen White’s perceived and authoritative seal of approval.

Secondarily, a discovery of this magnitude by the S.D.A. membership would have cast a great shadow of doubt upon its author, Ellen White, identifying her as a false prophet, for which she would have never recovered.

Thus it is that a cover-up scheme was initiated primarily by Ellen White and her son Willie White in her very own home designed to remove the damning trail of evidence. The evidence leads to Eusebius and his eyewitness account of the Great Easter Controversy and Constantine’s decree at the Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325 to align Dies Solis (Day of the Sun) with the Biblical Resurrection of the Messiah. It was this event of bringing together two false systems, Easter Resurrection and Dies Solis (Sunday), the first day of the new planetary week, that inadvertently caused “Saturday” to appear to be the seventh-day Sabbath (Dies Saturnis). This new cycling planetary week was cut from the same rhythmic cloth as the previous eight-day cycling week, having NO time-centric synchronization to the SUN, MOON, or STARS set forth for time-measuring during the week of creation, wholly divorced from the moon. Sabbath’s Consistent Lunar Monthly Dates

Saturday had never been the ancient Sabbath of the Eternal Father and Creator. Neither was it the prescribed Sabbath given to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, or our Messiah and Savior, Yahusha. Instead, as outlined in Scripture, each lunar Sabbath occurred upon the 8th, 15th, 22, and 29th, as counted from each full New Moon. Refer to the article, Sabbath’s Consistent Lunar Monthly Dates.

The bottom line is that I was not able to consider the full moon as a serious option for the original New Moon, while I remained a believer in Ellen White as a prophetess. This is a humbling experience to see how I and so many others have unwittingly clung to error. Scripture alone must be our guide at all times.

And the times of this ignorance, Alahim/Elohim winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30

Noah’s Family Measured Time from Full Moon to Full Moon

The following quote brings new foundational anchor points to the historical perspective as it has been recently discovered. All of the above is further supported by François Lenormant’s “Origines de l’Histoire” (History of the Origins), published in 1880 and also recorded in the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica, p. 993. He was a French Assyriologist, meaning an archeologist of Assyria and Babylon. He identified that the early Mesopotamian culture utilized the full moon as the start of months and years. Remember, this was the first civilization following the flood. This represents the first and second generations of Noah who, along with his family of eight, had remained faithful to their Creator and, as a result, were saved in the ark.

“Assyria and Babylonia—The twelvefold division of the zodiac was evidently suggested by the occurrence of twelve full moons in successive parts of it in the course of each year. This approximate relation was first systematically developed [or maintained] by the early inhabitants of Mesopotamia and formed the starting point for all other divisions of time… [Later] The idea of tracing the sun’s path among the “stars” [by daylight] was when it occurred to Chaldaean astronomers, an original and, relatively to their means, a recondite one. We owe to its realization by them the constitution and nomenclature of the [modern] twelve signs of the zodiac.” 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica – Zodiac, p. 993, Lenormant, Orgines de l’Histoire, Vol. 1, p. 236.

As identified in his quote above, originally, it was twelve full moons in their order that designated the lunar months of each year. And because full moons occur by night, they consistently measured the night sky together with the stars exactly as defined by the four witnesses of Scripture as found in Genesis 1:16, Psalms 136:7-9, Jeremiah 31:35-36, and Revelation 12:1.

Secondly, and of equal importance, this quote also validates that it was the full moons that formed the starting points for ALL other divisions of time. As a result, it includes the time division of Years, Months, Weeks, and Days, each a division of the larger units. And by extension, the authentic seventh-day Sabbath, the sacred worship day of our Creator that has existed from eternity past. So contrary to the modern Rabbinical and Karaite Jews’ Saturday, as found on the modern Roman replacement solar calendar, His Kadosh (holy, sacred, and set-apart) seventh-day Sabbath has and will always be measured from full moon to full moon through all eternity. This is, therefore, a nail in a sure place as it is in harmony with all of Scripture and astronomy!

Thirdly, note that from the same quote above on page 993 of the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica, still quoting from François Lenormant’s “Origines de l’Histoire” (History of the Origins), he identifies that years later, the Chaldaean astronomers from this same region [likely under the leadership of Nimrod and Semiramis], invented and introduced the method of measuring time by tracing the sun’s path among the starry constellations of the zodiac by daylight. The term utilized to describe this variance from the original method of utilizing the full moon was a “recondite” one. The term “recondite” means concealed, hidden, and secret.

So, what exciting evidence is brought to light by the discovery of this quote, and what does it all mean? The full moon was Rosh (head/ first) of all divisions of time, including the Year, Month, Week, and count of Days among the faithful early descendants of Noah who worshiped the one true Yahuah Alahim, our Creator. Then later, the Chaldaean astronomers from the same region, likely under the leadership of Nimrod during the time of building the Tower of Babel, were the originators of the counterfeit and replacement time-measuring system so popular to this day. They single-handedly changed Yahuah Alahim’s time-centric laws by inventing a new method of measuring time that was entirely out of sync with the original. This may have been the pivotal issue in tandem with building the tower that fomented their rebellion against the Creator. They desired to implement a luni-solar method of measuring the stars with the sun by day when the stars are invisible and hidden. By extension, although not overtly stated, the dark moon, in conjunction with the sun, was introduced and utilized to mark the start of years and months from that moment onward.

This was the inception and beginning of the new “secret or hidden” luni-solar system, which was crafted and commenced each year and month, a full 180 degrees opposite that of our Creator’s preordained time-measuring model. Might this be the primary reason for the destruction of the Tower of Babel, the confusion of the languages, and the scattering of the people unto all regions of the earth?

In those early years among the faithful and obedient of Yahuah Alahim, following the flood, no wall calendars, wrist watches, or international datelines were needed because all were perfectly incorporated into the rhythm of the lights high above out of the reach of man and beast. Each unit of time was ordained to fit perfectly into the next larger unit with no overlapping. This is because they were all beaconed by the same trinity of lights, with the full moons marking the starting points of all the divisions of time in a marvelous pattern and rhythm that distinguished each one apart from the rest. This reality alone provides a consistent and visual platform through which mankind may rendezvous with their Creator for all His sacred lunar appointed times.

Scripture Studies Testify to a Full Moon for the Start of Months

The prophet Daniel revealed that the Creator’s times and laws were to be the target of destruction by the enemy of souls (Daniel 7:25). As a result, it should come as no surprise to us that this has indeed occurred. But what is truly shocking is the layers of changes made to our Creator’s Calendar and the cover-ups undertaken to conceal the truth.

Under the direction of the Almighty Father, my burden for getting to the bottom of this has exposed some cover-up within the pages of Scripture itself, by the “lying pen of scribes” (Jeremiah 8:8). As a result, each of the word studies listed at the beginning of this article are supported by two or more Lexicons, Scripture Dictionaries, and Concordances, as I am not an accomplished Hebrew or Greek scholar. However, these studies have been prepared with great care and prayer, but no doubt, they are also not entirely error-free. Yet, these presentations reveal things long hidden since the great and marvelous Feast of Shabbuot (Feast of Weeks) in preparation for the Messiah’s Second Coming.

I believe that all those who seek to be obedient will find they must repent of false traditions as they are discovered. Yes, many of us have come out of the error of Gregorian calendation, but not yet into the full knowledge of Yahuah’s real New Moon and all His units of time. It is not for us to tell Yahuah’s Ruach (power, presence, and provision of Yahuah) that “we have come far enough.” This process, I believe, will occur many times on different subjects over the coming years. All things must be supported in Scripture by two or three witnesses. There were never two or three witnesses supporting either a first visible crescent or the dark conjunction lunar phase as the New Moon. I was tied into the FVC, for the most part, based on Ellen White’s statements. Now that I see my error, the Ruach of truth reveals volumes concerning the full New Moon.

With this said, each person must take this before Yahusha, their Savior and Redeemer, in prayer. Each person must be fully persuaded, as each individual will stand alone before the judgment seat of Yahuah Alahim. How might I stand before the Great Judge on the great coming Day of Atonement? My answer will be simple as to why I have kept the full moon as the authentic and original New Moon:

1. According to the Abrahamic Covenant, the NIGHT WAS DARK 430 years to the day, prior to Israel’s Exodus from Egypt, which occurred on the 15th of the lunar month. Refer to article, The Night was Dark.

2. There were five names identified in Scripture who testified of a SOLAR ECLIPSE on the day of the crucifixion, which implies the lunar phase on the 14th of Abib was the dark conjunction. By extension the full moon is the true New Moon and start of lunar months. The witnesses that testified to this are Amos 8:9-10, Matthew 27:45, Mark 15:33, Luke 23:44-45, and Dionysius the Areopagite of Acts 17:34, who was a Greek Astronomer and a gentile. 3. Because Revelation 12:1 identifies the synchronization of the TRINITY OF LIGHTS, the sun, moon and stars announcing Rosh HaShanah (New Year’s Day) in spring, as the full moon marks the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) as the first constellation of the year. In the middle of the 19 year Metonic cycle, the full moon (G#4582 selene – brilliant moon) occurs at Bethulah’s feet/legs for the GREAT SIGN. That is when Bethula arises with the full moon at her legs/feet at sunset and shines the whole night through from east to west, announcing the following morning at sunrise the New Year and New Month will begin.
