Dudley Marvin Canright, the author of the book, “The Life of Ellen White,” was a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 22 years.  He joined the body of believers before it was an authentic church in 1859 at the age of 19. From there, he rose through the ministry to prominence on the General Conference, a committee of Seventh-day Adventist Church leaders. He later left the church and became one of its greatest critics.

“The Life of Ellen White,” by D. M. Canright, was published in 1919. This expose` questions whether Ellen White meets the Biblical criteria qualifying her as a prophet of the Most High. Many letters and documents to and from Ellen White provide support and evidence for this book.
