Three Months in a Row – the Exodus – Part 1
Three Months in a Row
The Exodus, the Manna, the Mountain,
and Forty Years Later
The calendar details presented by the three months in a row of the exodus, the manna, and the mountain reveal divine lessons of the most vital and solemn importance. As often as these colorful stories are told and retold, some points with regard to their application of time are often overlooked.
In the first month of Abib, just before the Exodus, our loving Father, Yahuah, announced to Moses and Aaron which lunar phase was the true and original New Moon and re-introduced His unique astro-luni-solar calendar model with each 24-hour day/night cycle commencing at sunrise. Then, in the second month, He confirmed His calendar’s layout and true seventh-day Sabbaths in a most unmistakable way when He provided manna from above. In the third month, Yahuah, Alahim, fully restored in the minds of all present, including the mixed multitude, His unique time-keeping system, with the date of Israel’s arrival at the famous desert Mountain of Sinai. And finally, forty years later, as recorded by Joshua, the manna forever ceased on the first day of the week. It was the 16th of Abib, illustrating that the months had started with the New Moon every month for forty years. The Sabbaths followed accordingly, consistently occurring on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of each consecutive lunar month.
Moses’ trusted record of the Exodus account reveals identical dates and calendar details for three months in a row. It further establishes that our Creator’s true sacred seventh-day Sabbaths were each numbered from the New Moon Day, which also refreshes the weekly cycle every lunar month. This revelation of truth exposes the false assumption widely believed today that the modern week has cycled continuously since the first week of creation.
Restoring the Creator’s original calendar was strategic to setting up the Earthly Sanctuary/Temple system. This Sanctuary was first erected during the forty-year wilderness sojourn to prepare the rag-tag children of Yasharal (Israel) for the Promised Land. They had long been captives of pagan dogma and were no longer equipped with the full knowledge of His sacred Times and Laws. The Sanctuary was designed as a TIME & EVENT educational presentation to forever keep before their eyes. It scrupulously identified with the lunar appointed Feast Days layout, the promised Messiah’s detailed and time-centric REMEDY FOR SIN, and the Plan of Salvation. For this cause, Yasharal (the children of Israel) was blessed and destined to be the people of the promise.
All of this was essential for re-establishing Yahuah Alahim’s foundational lunar appointed time principles as identified in Psalms 104:19, “He appointed the moon for seasons [H#4140 – mo’edim – lunar appointed time].
Profoundly, these time principles identify to the very day, the lunar appointed time of the first and second coming of the long PROMISED MESSIAH, THE LAMB, OUR MELCHIZEDEK RIGHTEOUS KING. This was established so there may be no excuse for the set-apart seekers of truth to discern the connection of the lunar appointed time with the detailed Feast Day events. Of a truth, born of Scripture, the time-centric government of the Eternal Kingdom was ordained to continue from eternity past into eternity future, unbroken by Earth’s illegitimate calendars and the witty inventions of fallen demons and men.
One month after the Exodus, our compassionate Eternal Father responded to the cries of hunger from the weary travelers and sent quail the first evening after the Sabbath had passed and manna at sunrise for the next six days with none on the seventh-day Sabbath.
Not surprisingly, Saturday Sabbatarians (Jews, Seventh-day Adventists, and WWCG) have used the manna story to illustrate that Yahuah Alahim has ordained Saturday as His seventh-day Sabbath. This is because, for the past 1,700 years, the continuous week cycle of the Roman calendar has placed Saturday as its seventh day. Yet, there is no evidence for this in Scripture.
However, additional light shed on the manna story identifies Rome’s proactive departure from the Creator’s lunar rhythm and replacement of the original and authentic seventh-day Sabbath as early as 45 B.C. Through the illustrations of our Creator’s original calendar, presented in this article, an identical lunar month format for not only three months in a row but indeed for forty years. This Scripture narrative confirms that the correct seventh-day Sabbath placement differs widely from the seventh day found on the modern Roman (Beast Power) wall calendar with its continuous weekly cycle. The lessons of the manna sent from above teach that our Creator ordained and sanctified a lunar seventh-day Sabbath, which is found to be neither Saturday nor Sunday.
The incremental reformation that began in the 16th century A.D. with Martin Luther, Huss, and Jerome, to name a few, will continue under the leadership of Yahuah’s Ruach haKadosh (sacred power, presence, and provision). His prophetic lunar appointed time-centric truths will be restored before our Messiah’s RETURN. Those who are alive and remain will have already entered into their wilderness sojourn to be schooled in the lunar appointed times and laws of the Most High. Only in this way will they be prepared for entering the pearly gates of His Eternal Kingdom, the long-last Promised Land. No one who continues to cling, as willing captives, to the erroneous pagan times and laws of Egypt, Babylon, or Rome (the Beast) will enter there. Only those who have proactively released their grip from the binding claims of Jewish traditions and commandments of men (Titus 1:14) will be freed and receive their marvelous eternal reward.
Shocking as this may appear, those who genuinely desire to know the truth must investigate it for themselves. If knowing the truth is vital, if consistently worshiping our Creator according to the rhythm of His authentic and sacred seventh-day Sabbath is imperative to you, then please take the time to read this article carefully so that you may rightly divide Scripture’s word of truth.
Three Months in a Row, Part 1
The Exodus
Our loving Father, Yahuah, in the presence of the visible full moon, anchored down exact time details for Moses and Aaron on the night before Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day in spring). Exodus 12-1-3 Lunar Months and Years.
“And declared Yahuah (H#3068 – יהוה – YHUH) unto Moses and unto Aaron, while in the land of Egypt, commanding that:
“The New Moon, this self-same one, is HEAD (ROSH) of the lunar months, which is FIRST in PLACE as the New Moon for measuring the revolution of a year (HASHANAH).
You shall keep and teach this to all the congregation of Israel saying, “in the tenth of the lunar month, do the following: And you shall reserve and keep every man a lamb for each household of the father, a lamb for each house.” Shemot (Exodus) 12:1-3
The treasury of evidence throughout Scripture defines that the full moon was then and has always been the authentic and original start of our Creator’s lunar months. And that night it also announced the next day as Rosh Hashanah. Passover was designed to occur consistently on the day of the dark conjunction lunar phase, in the middle of the month on the 14th day. That is the only day of any given month that a Total Solar Eclipse can occur, and it did occur at the exact appointed time of our Messiah’s Death on Passover, the 14th of Abib, 1,500 years later. Treasury of Evidence the Full Moon Announces Lunar Months.
This restoration of His sacred lunar calendar model was vital and designed as the first test of obedience before leaving Egypt. For if Moses, Aaron, and all of Yasharal (Israel) were to choose a lamb on the tenth day and sacrifice it on the 14th day, according to the command of Yahuah, they must have the correct first day from which to start their count. Next, they had to disengage from the Egyptian’s popular dark conjunction lunar phase (the first day after the last waning crescent was visible). This was to be a 180-degree opposite restoration from the dark conjunction lunar phase to that of the full moon. Certainly, it was no easier task then, as it is today, to change calendar models as time-measuring paradigms run deep. Yet, this will also be the first test for those living at the end of time who seek full restoration before entering the Promised Land.
“The Egyptians appear to have used a purely lunar calendar prior to the establishment of the solar civil calendar in which each month began on the morning when the waning crescent moon could no longer be seen.”

It is no coincidence that Yahuah Alahim restored His nearly lost authentic lunar calendar model as the FOUNDATION for the following THREE MONTHS IN A ROW. All the following successive events were measured and counted from that very night our Creator’s Calendar was restored, including:
- Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day in spring).
- The Full New Moon Day. All successive Full Moons were ordained to determine the Start of the Lunar Months, and the count was 1-29 or 30 for each day of the month (recorded 349 times in Scripture).
- Passover, the 14th day, counted from Rosh Hashanah (full New Moon Day).
- The giving of the Manna, with its unique feeding schedule, identifies the sacred seventh-day Sabbath (which is recorded 150 times in Scripture).
- The arrival at Mt. Sinai.
- The instituting of the Wilderness Sanctuary illustrated throughout the year, the Plan of Redemption, the REMEDY for Sin to be performed by the promised Messiah, entirely based upon LUNAR TIME & EVENT.
- The seven time-centric lunar appointed Feast Days were restored so that all may understand that the sacrificial work of our Messiah was based entirely upon Lunar TIME & EVENT. Lunar Appointed Feast Days.
- Each of the daily, weekly, and monthly sacrifices was distinguished by what animal and how many, illustrating that these days cannot float by without each other.
- The entire 40 years in the wilderness, and unto all generations of His faithful throughout eternity.
These instructions given to Moses were for the benefit of all succeeding generations. They were for those who would seek obedience to the divine commands and synchronize their soul temples to the worship rhythms of the most Kadosh (holy) dwelling place of Yahuah, Himself.
Scripture Narrative of Exodus 12:1-42 NKJV
“Now Yahuah spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “This month [New Moon] shall be your beginning of [lunar] months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth day of this [lunar] month, every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. 4 And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the persons; according to each man’s need, you shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 Now, you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it [בין H996 = between הערבים H6153 = the evenings (plural)]. 7 And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8 Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire–it’s head with its legs and its entrails. 10 You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire. 11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is Yahuah’s Passover.
For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yahuah. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. 14 So this day shall be to you a memorial, and you shall keep it as a feast to Yahuah throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.
15 Seven days, you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day, you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. 16 On the first day, there shall be a sacred convocation, and on the seventh day, there shall be a sacred convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them, but that which everyone must eat–that only may be prepared by you. 17 So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for, on this same day, I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore, you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance. 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening. 19 For seven days, no leaven shall be found in your houses since whoever eats what is leavened, that same person shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or a native of the land. 20 You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings, you shall eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families and kill the Passover lamb. 22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 For Yahuah will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, Yahuah will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. 24 And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever. 25 It will come to pass when you come to the land which Yahuah will give you, just as He promised, that you shall keep this service. 26 And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27 “that you shall say, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice of Yahuah, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.'” So, the people bowed their heads and worshiped. 28 Then the children of Israel went away and did so, just as Yahuah had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
29 And it came to pass at midnight that Yahuah struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his seat of power to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock. 30 So Pharaoh rose in the night, he, all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead. 31 Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve Yahuah as you have said. 32 Also, take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and honor me also. 33 And the Egyptians urged the people that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” 34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. 35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And Yahuah had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians so that they granted them what they requested. Thus, they plundered the Egyptians.”
37 Then the children of Israel journeyed from Ramses to Succoth, with about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children. 38 A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds–a great deal of livestock. 39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt, for it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.
40 Now, the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, to the very same day, it came to pass that all the hosts of Yahuah went out from the land of Egypt. 42 It is a night of solemn observance to Yahuah for bringing them out of the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahuah, a solemn observance for all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
The Evidence
Of particular notice in the chart below is that Strong’s Dictionary numbers H#2318, H#2319, and H#2320 are all spelled precisely the same way in Hebrew. Vowel points were only introduced between the 6th and 10th centuries CE. Each serious student of Scripture must not be bound by the definition of terms made by translators, as they are subject to their own paradigms. Each person has a paradigm for which they seek to support by harmonizing Scripture with their particular point of view. All must do their due diligence to check all definitions to find the correct one. Context is key in relation to each word form.
Also, in the chart above, note that H#2320 chodesh is predominantly defined as months relating to the moon. Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary defines this term as the first day of the lunar month or New Moon; Brown-Driver-Briggs defines it as the first day of the lunar month; and while the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament identifies H#2320 chodesh as the New Moon, consider what else is clarified by them:
Although this word properly means “New Moon,” it is commonly used [in our modern Roman pagan solar calendar] as an equivalent to our word, “month…” Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament, Harris, Archer, and Waltke, Number 613b, p. 266.
There it is! Do you see it? This is the proactive excuse given by a roundtable of scholars, the guardians of the lie, for swapping the Creator’s lunar appointed time model for that of the pagan solar calendar system. Strikingly, these two opposing time-measuring systems, which include months and weeks, can never be harmonized because they start and stop differently. “And all the world wondered after the Beast of Revelation.”
-
When the Scriptures refer to a day of the month, it refers to a day in the “lunar month” or the countdown from the most recent full New Moon. The 4th day of the month in Scripture means the 4th day counted from the full New Moon Day as announced the night before and witnessed in the morning sky. The morning following the night of the full moon is day one of each lunar month.
-
“When you come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest, and he shall wave the sheaf before the Most High on the morrow after the Sabbath.” Leviticus 23:9. This always occurred in the spring following the full New Moon that arises in the East at the feet or legs of the constellation Bethulah (Virgo), which occurs after the Vernal Equinox. Starting the year, according to the correct New Moon, ensured the barley would be ripe at the exact time. The barley crop does not determine the start of the year but rather is always determined by the full moon’s position in relation to the starry constellation Bethulah (Virgo) in the spring.
- In contrast to the modern Rabbinical tradition, the Passover Lamb was to be killed (בין H#996 = between) (הערבים H#6153 = the evenings – plural), on the 14th day of the first lunar month. Exodus 12:6 In the Hebrew text, it reads like this: “…shall kill it between the evenings.”
- Leviticus 23:5 identifies in the Hebrew text that the word “at” is supposed to be the word “between,” and the word “even” is supposed to be plural. So it really reads: “In the first lunar month, on the fourteenth day between the evenings (mixtures of light), is YAHUAH’S PASSOVER.” Leviticus 23:5 Add to this the fact that 1,500 years later, our Messiah, the true Passover Lamb, gave up His life for you and me between the evenings. He was placed on the cross/stake at the 6th hour on the sundial (noon) and died at the 9th hour (3:00 p.m.). During that time, the sun was darkened in a solar eclipse (Luke 23:44).
- The mere mention that the sun was darkened for three hours provides weighty evidence that this momentous occasion occurred during the day. Passover was far more than just a story of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt’s bondage. It was a crucial link in the REMEDY FOR SIN born of the Feast Day path unto Salvation, a perpetual prophecy of hope provided by the promised Lamb, the Messiah deliverer who would lay down His life as a sacrifice for all mankind.
- “You shall sacrifice the Passover at “even” can mean both (כבוא H#935 = at the coming up of the sun or the going down of the sun) (The reason is that “even” comes from the Hebrew word “ereb” (H#6153 – mixture. Deuteronomy 16:1, 6
- The blood was to be drained and placed on the door posts and lintel. Exodus 12:7-8
- The lamb was to be roasted by fire during the day. Exodus 12:8-9
- They were to eat the roasted lamb at night after sunset, which continued to be the 14th (24-hour) civil calendar date. This also illustrates that the night follows the daylight. Exodus 12:8-9
- No part of the lamb was to be left until the morning of the 15th (Seventh-day Sabbath). Exodus 12:10
- They were to eat the lamb in haste, not because they were leaving Egypt as soon as it was consumed, but because it had to be eaten before the angel of death PASSED OVER to slay all the firstborn of the disobedient Egyptians. By midnight, ALL the obedient needed to have rightly prepared and eaten the Passover Lamb, being careful in all respects.
- We know Israel did not leave that night after eating the Passover Lamb because verse 22 states, “none were to step outside their door until the next morning.” Exodus 12:11, 22
- The Eternal Father, Yahuah Alahim, was to PASS OVER at midnight on the night of the 14th, also called the sixth day of the second lunar week. Exodus 12:29
- Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron by night, but they did not go to them until the next morning, carefully obeying the command of Yahuah. Exodus 12:31
As a second witness, Numbers 33:2-3 clarifies the month and lunar date in which Israel left their homes in Egypt, and it was NOT the night of the 14th, as many have believed and taught.
“Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of Yahuah. And these are their journeys according to their starting points: They departed from Ramses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover, the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians.” Numbers 33:2-3 NKJV
Remember, when it says a month, it means lunar month.
As a third witness, Deuteronomy establishes both the month and the time of day that Israel left their homes in Egypt, and it wasn’t in the morning:
“Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Yahuah, your Alahim, for in the month of Abib, Yahuah, your Alahim, brought you out of Egypt BY NIGHT.” Deuteronomy 16:1
Add Numbers 33:2-3 to Deuteronomy 16:1, and we discover that Israel left Egypt on the fifteenth at night. So, did Yahuah Alahim lead His people out of Egypt on the Sabbath? Not at all. He waited until the Sabbath hours were over and led them out with the pillar of fire by night.
The Biblical lunar Sabbath consistently occurs on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of every lunar month, but only during the daylight hours.
According to John 11:9-10, the Messiah tells us that a Scriptural day begins at sunrise and is twelve hours long.
“Yahusha answered, ‘Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.'” John 11:9-10
From the detailed record that Yahuah commanded Moses to document, the Israelites left Ramses in the first month, on the fifteenth (Numbers 33:2-4), on the day after Passover, and by night (Deuteronomy 16:1).
It was not discerned until recently that our Creator’s week cycle has always refreshed with each New Moon Day. This causes Passover, the fourteenth day of the lunar month, to consistently fall on the sixth day of the week each year and is followed the next day by the seventh-day Sabbath.
During the first Passover celebrated a year later, it was discovered that this seventh-day Sabbath is of dual importance because it is both a weekly seventh-day Sabbath and the first day of a yearly Feast Day called Unleavened Bread, making it what is called a High Sabbath. As mentioned, this is supported by the events of the crucifixion story occurring fifteen hundred years following the Passover in Egypt. Then, Yahusha, the Messiah, as the prophetic Lamb, became our Passover. It was to Him that the Passover in types and shadows pointed. As a result, it is possible to gather additional data from this grand event as it highlights the Passover in its fulfilling detail.
Counting from the full New Moon, Passover is always on the 14th day/night cycle of Abib each and every year to this day. Luke supports this, as he defined that on the day of the crucifixion of Yahusha, the Messiah, an eclipse of the sun occurred from the 6th to the 9th hour (Luke 23:44-45). Since a solar eclipse can only happen during a “dark lunar phase,” this carries substantial evidence that 15 days earlier was the night of the “full moon,” making the “full moon” the original and authentic New Moon.
Add to this the fact that our Messiah, the true Passover Lamb, gave up His life for you and me between the evenings. For He was placed upon the cross/stake at noon, at which time the sun was darkened in a solar eclipse, from the sixth to the ninth hour (Luke 23:44). The mere mention that the sun was darkened provides weighty evidence that this momentous occasion occurred during the day. Passover was far more than just a story of Israel’s deliverance from the bondage of Egypt. It was a crucial link in SALVATION’S REMEDY born of the Feast Days, as a perpetual prophecy of hope provided by the promised Lamb, the Messiah deliverer who would lay down His life as a sacrifice for all mankind. The Sun was Darkened from the Sixth to the Ninth Hour.
Day of the Week
“Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath for that Sabbath was a high day, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.” John 19:31-32 NKJV
Date of the Month
The following details, provided in Leviticus 23, were given to Moses and Aaron when they built the first Tabernacle/Sanctuary in the Wilderness. Notice the specific language with regard to the meaning of the Hebrew terms mo’edim and miqra.
“And declared Yahuah unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Yasharal, and command them concerning the specific lunar appointed dates (H#4150 mo’edim) of Yahuah, which you shall proclaim My set-apart (Holy) rehearsal assemblies (H#4744 miqra). These are themselves My specific lunar appointed dates (H#4150 mo’edim): (Note the colon)
Six days from sunrise to sunset you shall do your work, but in the day of the seventh it is the Sabbath-rest to observe the covenant, a set-apart (Holy) rehearsal assembly (H#4744 miqra) in which you shall do no work, for it is the Sabbath unto Yahuah in all your dwellings.
These are the specific lunar appointed dates (H#4150 mo’edim) of Yahuah, the set-apart (Holy) rehearsal assemblies (H#4744 miqra), which you shall proclaim as SIGNS [of prophetic events to be fulfilled by the Messiah alone] at their specific lunar appointed dates (H#4150 mo’edim):
In the lunar month (H#2320 chodesh), the first one of the year, in the fourteenth day counted from the New Moon (H#2320 chodesh), between (H#996 beyn) the evenings (plural twilights) (H#6153 ereb), is the PASSOVER of Yahuah.” Leviticus 23:1-5
According to the verse above in Leviticus, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is to be consistently synonymous with the seventh-day Sabbath. This is why it is called a High Sabbath in John 19:31-32. Remember, a High Sabbath is when the first day of a sacred Feast Day falls on a seventh-day Sabbath.
“And Moses said to the people: ‘Remember, this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahuah brought you out of this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten. On this day, you are going out, in the month Abib.’” Exodus 13:3-7Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of Yahuah. And these are their journeys according to their starting points: They departed from Ramses in the first [lunar] month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover, the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians. For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the Eternal had slain among them. Numbers 33:2-4Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Yahuah, your Alahim, for in the month of Abib, Yahuah, your Alahim brought you out of Egypt BY NIGHT. Deuteronomy 16:1
Each of the following illustrations demonstrates the Scriptural facts up to this point.
It was Yahuah, Alahim, who, on the first day of the first month, established the first two daylights, daylight one and daylight 14, which makes it possible for us to fill in the rest of the blanks with the details that establish the 15th daylight as the seventh-day Sabbath. Once the 15th is established as a Sabbath, it is possible to count seven more days to the 22nd and seven more days to the 29th, making these both Sabbaths as well. Also, from the 15th day, counting backward seven days makes the 8th day of the month a Sabbath.
Counting back from the 8th day, we end up on day 1, a full New Moon Day, which is the first day of a lunar month (also New Year’s Day). As a result, it can NEVER be a seventh-day Sabbath. The New Moon Day is not part of the seven-day week cycle ever because it’s in a class of days all of its own. Ezekiel 46:1-3 points out that, indeed, there are three unique kinds of days each lunar month. Three Kinds of Day – Worship at the East Gate.
Of necessity, it was Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) and the full New Moon Day, which was the day Yahuah spoke to Moses and Aaron in Exodus 12:1, 2. As shown in the example below, the New Moon day is the day of beginnings, not the seventh day of anything. Additional evidence will be given that demonstrates the week cycle restarts following each full New Moon Day.
Notice how the twelve hours of the Sabbath daylight were sandwiched between two critically significant nights. Getting out alive required meeting the time-stamped details of Passover. Scripture supports a 12-hour Sabbath with the daylight preceding the night. Yahuah would never break His own Sabbath commandment by leading Israel out of Egypt during the Sabbath daylight hours. Further evidence will demonstrate this in the second and third months in a row. One thing is for certain: They did not leave Egypt on the night of Passover, the 14th, for the very reason they were not to step foot outside their door until morning. And we know they didn’t leave in the morning because Numbers 33:2-3 and Deuteronomy 16:1 tell us that Israel left Egypt by night on the 15th.
“And you shall tell your son that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what Yahuah did for me when I came up from Egypt.’ “It [Passover] shall be asathe sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes that Yahuah’s Torah may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand, Yahuah has brought you out of Egypt. You shall, therefore, keep this ordinance in its season [lunar appointed time] from year to year.'” Exodus 13:8-10
Fifteen hundred years after the first Passover, Yahusha the Messiah laid down His life as the fulfillment of the symbolic Passover Lamb. The story of the cross/stake sheds additional light on details that might easily be missed in the Exodus account of the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. After all, the Messiah’s death was the culmination of the Passover in types and shadows, meaning it was prophetically fulfilled.
He died so that we might live. He was raised again as a symbol of the first fruits of the great harvest of the Earth. Therefore, our assurance and guarantee of a forgiven and eternal future are wrapped up in Yahusha, the Messiah, our Passover Lamb, and Savior.
So it is that the vital element often overlooked in this Passover narrative is that TIME itself became the first testing truth for Israel 3,500 years ago. If Israel (Yasharal) had refused to obey Yahuah Alahim’s detailed and time-centric instructions regarding which lunar phase was Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day), they would NOT have celebrated Passover at the correct time on the authentic 14th day of the lunar month and year. How would you respond? Would you hold to the popular calendar when Yahuah calls you back to His prophetic lunar appointed time in preparation for the Promised Land? Refer to the article/study: Years are Divided by Lunar Months.
While Exodus 12:1-3 does identify that the true New Moon was being restored and that it was uniquely different from that of the Egyptian New Moon, none of these three months in a row identify the exact lunar phase that Yahuah appointed at Creation as His true New Moon. Provided below is a link to 33 article narratives from diverse perspectives, which provide facts from Scripture that our Eternal Father’s true START of YEARS and MONTHS has always been the full moon, 180 degrees opposite of what is taught today: Treasury of Evidence, the Full Moon Announces Lunar Months.
The impact revealed in this time-centric portion of this first Passover story is in how it relates to the truth seekers, both at the time of the Messiah’s first coming and today, just before His second coming. For in like manner, His true calendar must first be restored to prepare His obedient people to keep ALL the Eternal’s lunar appointed Feast Days that they may be covered (protected) in the day of His vengeance (Psalms 91:1-5). This is Yahuah’s plan, and it is for their protection as the seven last plagues are poured out upon the disobedient nations of the Earth.
Only by harmonizing our lives with the correct rhythm of our Creator’s unique calendar model, as did ancient Israel, reckoned from His true full New Moon, and not that of Babylon/Egypt or the counterfeit Roman calendar, will His obedient faithful be preserved. The true Passover and all the other Feast Days will be found through one calendar model alone, as they must be counted from the right New Moon in the spring. (Click on the table below to enlarge it.)
Might it be the first test of obedience for all those seeking to align their soul temples with that of their Messiah in preparation for the FINAL PROMISED LAND and FOREVER HOME in the New Jerusalem?
