The New Moon
In a surface reading through the Bible most people do not discern that when the word "month" is used, that its intended meaning was "New Moon." In fact the word "month" comes from the word moon. While the term "Sabbath" is used in Scripture approximately 150 times, the "New Moon" is used over 250 times.
Until approximately A.D. 324, the "months" of all ancient cultures were derived from the phases of the moon. All ancient cultures have a common beginning with Noah and the flood, followed by the providential dispersing of people.
