It is discovered in this study that the New Moon regulates the Tree of Life in the New Jerusalem (Yarushalom) as it bears a different kind of fruit each lunar month.  Is it any wonder that the righteous overcomers are to attend a gathering in this most sacred city to partake of its fruit and leaves on the full New Moon Day of each lunar month, receiving the Eternal life-giving qualities of this divinely ordained tree?

The Inseparable Pair

It is evident from Revelation 22:2 that the splendid River of Life was designed to flow directly in the middle of the street of gold. On both sides of the river, and perhaps on both sides of the street, is the marvelous Tree of Life. Can our finite minds grasp the size of this tree? It must be massive, maybe a mile or two tall or more.

We find in this verse that this most awe-inspiring and essential tree of all time bears a different kind of fruit each lunar month, as measured by the length of time from one New Moon to another.  Compare to Isaiah 66:23. 

So, on one New Moon/lunar month, this medicinal tree may produce peaches, the next apples, and the next mangoes, all from the same tree. But one objective of this tree is consistent and perpetual, as it bears a new and different kind of fruit upon the appearance of each full New Moon. It is the New Moon that alone sets the rhythm of when the fruit is scheduled to change. It also means that the duration of time each fruit will present itself will be for one lunar month.  Notice that wherever the Tree of Life is, there will be a New Moon, whether in the New Jerusalem or on the earth restored, for all eternity, even when the New Jerusalem (Yarushalom) comes down from its original dwelling place (Revelation 21:2). This is because the Tree of Life is regulated perpetually, throughout all eternity, each lunar month by the New Moon.

Both the Fruit and the Leaves

Strikingly, and in contrast to the translations, we discovered in very descriptive terminology in the Greek word study above that not only the leaves but also the fruit are for the healing and restoration of the nations. This verse assumes that all the saved, the obedient followers from all the ages and from all of earth’s nations, necessitate a remedial cure. After all, sin has taken a toll on mankind physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 

So by way of the leaves and fruit of the Tree of Life, the eating of these two will impart eternal life. Together, the restoration of the earth with the obedience of the universe assemble in unity for worship upon the true and original full New Moon each lunar month. For this oneness is part of the long promised reward of the righteous and obedient followers of the Eternal Father and Son. A life that never ends, an eternity to spend in the countryside with the lions and the lambs, or together with the host of the shamayim and Yahuah’s celestial beings in the worship of our Creator, the King of Kings, upon all His Kadosh (sacred) mo’edim days (H#4150 – sacred appointed times of assembly).

“Assuredly, according to the order of the shamayim (starry abode), the New Moons, and the earth: The New Moon that I appointed and set in order remains firmly the chief corner [stone],” declares Yahuah. Wherefore, it establishes and confirms your name along with your children.”  And it shall come to pass according to its abundance— New Moon by New Moon you shall keep; and according to its abundance— Sabbath by Sabbath you shall keep. Lunar Cycles Synchronize Early Human Life with the Temple

If you are constrained by the multiplicity of voices declaring that Revelation 22 was written in Greek and that the word “men/mane” was chosen to refer to the generic term month and has no relation to the lunar calendar, THINK AGAIN!!!  Notice in the study above that Strong’s definition relegates the term “men” to a mere month, whereas Thayer’s Greek Lexicon adds the detail that, indeed, this is the “time of the New Moon,” meaning the first day of the lunar month.  

An additional thought to punctuate this point is that the word “menses” also comes from the root word “men” and refers to the women’s menstrual cycle.  It is a well-documented fact and taught by O.B.G.Y.N.’s worldwide that the menstrual cycle is not merely a monthly phenomenon, but rather is wholly based upon the lunar monthly cycle. So it is, that both the women’s reproductive cycles and that of the gestation of the unborn child, the Creator has synchronized all humanity to be in harmony with His Divinely ordained New Moon. 

Have you read in the Scriptures the verses that identify YOU as the TEMPLE OF THE  LIVING ALAHIM? It is in this way all human life is rendered on the same TIME continuum as the sacred Temple’s east gate with the full New Moon rising in the east as its beacon (Ezekiel 46:1-3):

Know you not that you are the temple of Alahim (God), and that the Ruach (Spirit) of Alahim dwells in you?  1 Corinthians 3:16

 

If any man defile the temple of Alahim, him shall Alahim destroy; for the temple of Alahim is sacred, which temple you are. 1 Corinthians 3:17

 

And what agreement hath the temple of Alahim with idols? for you are the temple of the living Alahim.  As Alahim hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their Alahim, and they shall be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:16

New Moon Truths Proactively Diminished

The reason that much of this is lost from our knowledge today is that all Christian Churches have adopted the Roman counterfeit calendar. This modern time-measuring system is in opposition to the Creator’s Calendar that is beaconed in the shamayim (heavens), primarily by the full moon as the New Moon, and recorded in Scripture. In A.D. 325, Constantine placed his mark or stamp on the time-measuring process, wanting to distance the entire world from any connection to the moon. So we are seeing, even among the passages of Scripture, an all-out effort to remove, through translation, any association to the moon, its lunar phases, and specifically the original full New Moon.  Scripture identifies that the New Moon Day is one of the Eternal’s Kadosh (sacred) worship days Ezekiel 46:1-3, Psalms 81:3, Isaiah 66:22-23.

A Profession of Faith from the Church of Constantinople in the year 325 C.E. These are the translated words of the Emperor Constantine:  

“I [Constantine] renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads & sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all other Feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspersions, purifications, sanctifications and propitiations and fasts, and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants and observances and Synagogues, and the food and drink of the Hebrews; in one word, I renounce everything Jewish, every law, rite and custom and if afterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with the Jews, or feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openly confuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of Gehazi cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable. And may I be anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with Satan and the devils.” The Conflict Of The Church And The Synagogue Athenaeum, Parks, James, New York, 1974, p. 397-398.

Just because today we have only a Greek rendering of John the Revelator’s description does not erase the supposition that this book was likely, in its original form, written in Hebrew, or at the very least, was a continuation of the Tanakh.  For we must remember that John was a Jew who grew up in Jewish culture and in a Jewish town and was a disciple and best friend of Scripture’s Jewish Promised Messiah.  Then, after the Messiah’s death, John, along with the other disciples, went on to proclaim that Yahusha was the promised Messiah, our Melchizedek Righteous King, who alone fulfilled the prophetic requirements of the Torah and Tanakh as a whole. 

All the work of the Renewed Covenant (NT) authors was to demonstrate an unbroken flow, a rich continuity of the divine truths borne out in the Torah/Tanakh that met their promised counterpart in Yahusha, the Messiah.  Might it have been the conquest of ha Satan to disconnect and break this natural flow of truth and place it in the footprint of a neighboring pagan nation?

Two Commemorative Meals as Bookends

In 1 Samuel 20:1-42, we find the story of David and Jonathan and the quandary as to whether David should join King Saul for the monthly celebration of the New Moon. Our purpose with this storyline is not so much about David and King Saul but what was revealed about the set-apart full New Moon day.  And although some believe this verse proves the theory that the New Moon is a two-day occasion, we have found with a deeper look a far different delineation of events.  Rather, than a two-day New Moon, we found revealed two commemorative meals situated as bookends to set apart the New Moon day as Kadosh (sacred) to Yahuah the Eternal. 

According to the law/rule, the King and all His court were to sit for the first commemorative meal at precisely sunset, at the commencement of the new month.  This is when the full New Moon would arise in the east and continue to shine all night through and only set after the sun had risen the next morning. This first morning that the moon was present in the sky following sunrise marks the sacred portion of the full New Moon day.  It was at this sunrise that the sacred portion of the full New Moon day commenced for a duration of 12 hours on the sundial and then terminated at sunset.  It was at this second sunset, the one immediately following the daylight of the New Moon day, that the King and all his court sat for the second commemorative meal.  In this way, they honored the importance of this sacred day by setting it apart from all other days.  No mention is made within this chapter of their eating during the sacred 12-hour period of the New Moon day that was sandwiched between the two commemorative meals. 1. Might it be that the New Moon Day was to be an entire day of fasting from earthly food, and a time to feed on the sacred truths above?
2. Might this be the reason there is no record of manna falling on the New Moon day?
3. Might it also be true that this was because the promise of eternal life incorporated the New Moon day as the day to eat of the Tree of Life only and simply no other food or even manna could qualify?
4. On the flip side perhaps the commemorative meals marked the boundaries of time, yet future, when all the righteous will freely eat of the Tree of Life.

Either way, it is self-evident that the commemorative meals were designed as a regular event to both announce and set this 12-hour New Moon Day apart for sacred use: 1) To show obedience to Yahuah while upon the earth; 2) Once in the eternal home, it is a sign for those who receive the reward and gift of eternal life by partaking of the life-giving fruit.

Thus it is that even in the grand and marvelous New Jerusalem (Yarushalom), whether in the shamayim (heavens) or upon the earth restored, the divine TREE OF LIFE is regulated each lunar month by our Eternal Father’s true and original full New Moon. For it appears to be the divine call to the righteous obedient to worship Him, who gives LIFE ABUNDANTLY by receiving and feeding freely on the fruit of this Eternal Tree of Life.

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which Yahuah has prepared for them that love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
